Assuming they're sized properly and you didn't have this problem before, there is no reason for it.

Do they fit? Did anyting else change, like you changed teams, moved up a level? It's difficult to tell without seeing you before and after, knowing the situation and being able to watch you. It could be a number of things.

i went form a AAA team to a AAA high school team ... my XXs were sie 8.5 and my vectors are 9s.. i just dunno

i think i remember somebody telling me CCM's fit about a half size smaller than bauers of the same size.

i had 8 1/2's in bauer supreme 6000's that were too big and i went down to a CCM 7/12 in the 7.5 (SMU).

my bauers didn't fit me right, my heel moved around a bit, i guess i didn't have enough ankle support...i felt like i was skating weakly but it wasn't my fault.

i bet they don't fit.

well, don't the XX's get kinda soft?

you might be used to your broken in XX's

also, did you change the rocker on the E-Blades? I'll bet they're not the same as the Lightspeeds you had.

I know whenever I change skates, I need to get used to the new "feel"

hah, i forgot to take those off once. stepped on the ice and fell, wondered wtf was wrong, tried to get up, fell again, and realized what was happening ;]

Most skaters can adjust to a different holder/rocker after a skate or two. That doesn't mean you will prefer it over what you had been using though. I'd suggest that you take the skates back to where you bought them and have them check out the blades. If the blades aren't warped like Shark mentioned, make sure you have them profiled the same as your lightspeeds were. If that still doesn't work, then swap out the E-blades for the Lightspeeds (provided they are the same size) and see if that does it for you.

Assuming you were careful to get the new skates to fit....every manufacturer has a different blade contour from the factory. Some cant the blade at a bigger angle left or right. Some angle the blade from the boot centerline differently. Some have different center points on the blade radius, making you bend forward or backward more. I would bet your center of balance on the blade radius is different from what you like. Take your new and old skates to a place that does custom blade radiusing, and tell them you "want them radiused like the old pair".

Yes, but a lot of people confuse a radius with years of bad sharpenings. I had one guy come in and he had his blades shaped like a banana and came in with a new pair of skates and he was like "I want you to rocker them like this." I just laughed at him.

I'll take pics of the CCMs that are coming in later this week for new steel, you'll love them.
