kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Just read the 2005 catalogue…..The hex-1 is made of “aerospace material†and the hex name of the stick is all in the blade….There are hexagonal shaped pieces of foam that all linked together (like honeycombs) together and an “I beam†that goes horizontally in the middle of the blade. The “I†beam acts like a divider and separates the top and the bottom of the face of the blade . The Hex foams are fused to the I beam wall giving a thinner and stronger blade…. It will be available in all flexes and curves for grip and non grip….Felt the grip….VERY NICE. Just like the inno soft grip. :) Hope this helps.....This is EXAXTLY what the blades inside looks like (drew it from the catalogue)I am the artist B)

Lucius 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 So what's the deal here, is the shaft going to be something new, or is it going to be an L2 type shaft with this fancy new blade?
Scores 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 My rep was just in with his Hex sample...new blade and NEW shaft. Square shaft with a slight concave...feels really well balanced and very light.Might be a big move for Mission in sticks?Pricing is just slightly higher than M-1...but with a lot of technology. JGraz15 53 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Is the Hex-1 replacing the M-1 or will it still be offered? Are there any new shafts or replacement blades? Were the new ice gloves in the catalog?
Scores 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 M-1 is still there...and Z-1 (price point OPS)New gloves were there...two lines Lite and Helium. Helium = Vapor fit - anatomicalLite = Eagle like fit - traditional

JR Boucicaut 3804 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Yay, we learned what an I-beam is!Actually the glove isn't called Lite. It's the L series - L7/L5/L3/L1
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 I'll be dissappointed if they change the shape. The shaft shape was their best feature IMO.
