DT1, RBZ or Nexus 1000?

Recommended Posts

Having used all 3 I think if I were to choose one out of the 3 I might go with the Nexus. The DT1 was great but the toe started chipping and going dead at that 30-35 day mark for me, had 2 and both are broken in the same spot on the bottom toe and the blade is dead now. The RBZ shoots very very hard. Im not a fan of the shaft shape and sometimes the puck feel isnt very good, pingy if you will. But the shot release is something to be noted*. Best all around stick for me was the Nexus 1000. Had it for a while and the shots were awesome, the softer shaft and higher kick point makes shooting very easy and the pucks come off fast/on target. The blade was easy to handle hard passes with and was strong over the time I had it. I wish the shaft was a little more round but thats just my preferences.

This is all my opinion and other people might have different views but this is how my experience with those sticks were.

Ok thanks, how about the 20K or the Mako 2?

Knowing what you like would help us suggest a stick that will work for you. It really all depends on how you shoot. The Dagger Taper sticks are great for people like me that let the stick do the work. My widows have all lasted a year or more. I thought the RBZ was a dud, but there are people that like them, as evidenced by the posts above. And the Nexus to me was ok, but nothing special.

I have heard a lot of good things about the RBZ but just picked up a Nexus 1000 and love it. I used top end eastons forever and then switched to an APX a little over a year ago because I was sick of Easton blades going soft and breaking. Being use to low flex point sticks, it made sense to go to an APX. Wanted to try something new and the Nexus is amazing. Stick really does shoot easier than the APX and comes off harder. Blade seems to have the same durability as the APX. My opinion, go Nexus.

I don't want to add to the decision but try a dynasty ax1 if you can. I have tried the dt1, nexus, rbz, stealth, mako, NXG

Some were mine, some friends. I keep going back to the dynasty. I really want to like the dt-1 but keep going for the dynasty. Oddly I think I liked the widow better than dt-1. Don't know what it was.

+1 on the AX1, if you like mid-kicks... Nexus is a great stick too.
