CCM sticks + rounded corners

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm looking for sticks that have rounded corners as I feel that they are much more ergonomic and comfortable to handle. I recently bought the CCM U+ Crazy shock Ovi stick and I found that the stick had rounded corners much to my liking. I was wondering do all other U+ sticks have the same profile? I noticed that CCM are coming out with a new line of U+ sticks, will they adapt the same profile?

I know that my U+ CL, U+ CS, and U+ 08 all have rounded corners. All are 2011 year retail models.

Most stores don't carry them anymore apparently because a new line is coming out. Does anyone know if they're going to be the same profile (rounded corners) as the old ones?

Senior RBZ sticks have the boxier traditional shape ( T ), intermediates are rounded ( C ).

Are you only looking for CCM sticks?

I know the vapor line has rounded corners, and so do some other manufacturers like combat, miken.

i beleive the rs line from easton has rounded corners....i know my old cyclone shaft does!

The 70 flex cyclone was really popular around here

thats the one I have. all my friends had the zbubbles and ultra lites and i beleive the cyclone was cheaper...and unique at the time. Great backup to the backup...to the backup stick haha

I am using an CL and an RBZ, CL is very round and small feeling, RBZ very boxy and square. Both 75 flex.

T90 is about as square as it can get, I know they made a slimfit stick that had a very small diameter, but not sure what it was exactly as I have never seen one.

Id suggest get CLs if you like rounded corners, you can find deals on liquidation and i personally like the stick very much.

Same here, i got that awesome looking red, brown, and in some lights green cyclone in the 70 something flex. all my friends had zbubbles, iltralights, ultracarbons, and some had synergies. to me i was never able to play with those because they were too boxy.

which brings me to my next point, every easton stick i have used has been way to boxy for me. even the makos, although better, are boxy to me and the RS sticks are the worst offenders.

I have a last gen cyclone (blue paint much sturdier) and an apx and the apx is round, but the cyclone is rounder, almost like an intermediate shaft. mine is a 95 flex but it WHIPS! so much so i think im going to list it here and look at other options even though its a backup that i rarely used. it also uses a standard blade.

definitely check out the miken zero limit thread. you will see a picture of the miken Z9 which might offer shape worth considering. I love the feel of mine.

and yes, the slim fit was the one i was thinking of, but it is maybe a little different than what your looking for.

You may want to look into a custom Warrior stick that is offered in their rounded handle design. To my knowledge, those CCMs you mentioned have been the most current stick that comes near the Cyclone in terms of shaft radius. I too grew up using them and it converted me to the preference (although I've since become able to use others, I still prefer a Vapor-ish style shaft).
