Reebok/Jofa elbow pads?

Recommended Posts

New to the site, so pardon me if this has been addressed; didn't find anything in search.

Are Reebok/Jofa elbow pads, like the 8K pros, still made/available anywhere besides $200 on eBay, etc.? Europe? Anywhere?

You'll hear many variations of this, here's a few:

1. Reebok still has a factory in Sweden making these for NHL teams only

2. Reebok still has a factory in Canada making these for NHL teams only

3. Some shops have a super secret hookup to the factory

4. Only a few guys have the super secret hookup access that shop has

5. NHL teams have these stocked up for players (more realistic)

Or, the more realistic approach.....do you best to find a used or rare new pair on eBay/Craigslist/Kiijii

I love my 7K Pros, but eventually these will be dinosaurs and not worth the price to pay online.

People are paying $200-250 online for a new pair of 7K-8Ks, when you can get the CCM CL for $99 and are being used by pros (Hossa, Toews to name a couple).

There are plenty of pics and vids showing the huge amounts of stuff some teams have stockpiled, old jofa product included. There is a lot of good product out there now, I would rank the newer Warrior elbows up there with the old Jofa stuff.

I've tried a couple of Jofa elbows, but always gone back to my warriors for fit, light weight and comfort. I've never had an issue with them slipping down etc, and they are holding up well after more than a year of use (projekts)

I've got 7k pros and am going to check out the warrior ax1's and make the switch. If you're in Vancouver you can come grab mine!
