Putting a Vapor footbed in a Supreme boot?

Recommended Posts

I just got a pair of total one nxg skates a few weeks ago, I have skated in them a few times but I am very picky with my skates and currently in the process of tinkering with certain things to make them fit and perform how I like. I used to have the old X:60's and I haven't had many problems with switching to supreme, as supreme is better for my flat foot. However with the different pitch in the skate I find that in the nxgs much more of my weight is on my heels which can cause some pain, long story short I want to put my X:60 footbeds in the totalones (same sizes by the way) because of the X:60 heelpad (I know it seems stupid but my heels freaking hurt). Thank you for any and all advice!

Try it for a practice and if you like it, leave it in, and if you don't have a practice go to a stick and puck or something like that and try it out.

Yeah but profiling costs a lot more, and you could also buy a pair of different footbeds, like super feet if you don't want your steel profiled.

May as well go ahead and try since it won't cost you anything and you should know right away if it works. I would be surprised if you notice a big difference since most stock footbeds aren't too different from one another, with possibly the RBZ skate being an exception when it comes out. When I first tried on my one100's I hated the way they felt on the bottom of my feet. Once I switched out the insoles for a pair of superfeet the skates felt much better. So I would recommend going into a hockey store to see if they have superfeet or comparable sidas insoles and put a pair in your skates then walk around in store with them to see how it feels.

I have used the X:60 footbed in my One95 without any problem in the past. Btw, the newer Vapor footbeds don't feature the "shock absorber" pad in the heel anymore.

A number of people have had the same, or similar problems like you are having. Including my son when he went from Vapors to Supremes.

Many of those people, including my son, have tried yellow Superfeet, and they corrected the problem(s).

If you're going to invest in footbeds, I'd recommend getting Graf Sidas heat molded footbeds if you have a dealer near you. Once you've had those, nothing else will do.

Thank you for the advice, I am going to invest in some superfeet. If I am a skate size 8.5 does that make my superfeet size D?

I recently purchased superfeet insoles, I have totalones in 8.5D but i felt that my heel when fitted to the superfeet insole in 7.5-9 size D width was sticking out on the sides (as shown in the instructions in the packaging, it recommended I move up a size). I decided to go with the 9.5-11 E width instead. Is it a concern that I have a E width insole in a D width skate? I've only skated once with them and felt some discomfort in the heel area, hoping it will get better over time, I can take a picture to show you guys if u think that helps.

Go in store and try them on. Two people may have the same size feet, but have different arch lengths and heel widths so they would need different size insoles. They are meant to be trimmed down. Check out the superfeet website to see more on sizing.

you can profile the steel or add a heel lift to give you the comparable pitch of the X 60 s

There is no pitch difference in the skates.

Comparable to zigtech soles??

The new RBZ will come with 3 different types of insoles for a low, med, or high arch. I think it is a great idea, next week I should get my hands on pair of them to get a closer look at everything.
