sticks with a ton of flex...

Recommended Posts

i'm thinking about buying an innovative 1100 in 420 flex, just to give it a try.

just wondering if any of you have tried it, or another stick in a similar flex...TPS super whip maybe? up till now i've always used about an easton 100...i know it'll be a lot different but hopefully in a good way.

i did a search btw and there were tons of results but i couldn't find anything relevent. sorry if i missed some stuff...

Snap shots are the sh!t with whippy sticks. Anything else is fine if you can adjust, just dont take too much ice on your slapshots otherwise you'll overload the shaft and spray them everywhere.

I cant stick handle with a flexy sitck. It feeles like the puck moves my stick instead of my stick moving the puck.

Same here for a 440 flex inno I think it was. Maybe 400 or something but I know it was very flexy. Thats a stick to impress the ladies with on the power bar of slap and snap shots lol.

Just to make it clear, you're saying snap shots are good, or bad?

I'm thinking of giving one of the 420 flex 1100's a go for roller. Hopefully the lighter puck won't mess with the stickhandling as much.

THE SH!T, not sh!t. Of course it's good.

I love using whippy sticks.

Right now I am using Intermediate TFGs. I love everything about them except the shaft radius - much too small. I suppose it's a trade-off, and it is one I am willing to make until the XXX and it's 77 Senior flex is released; I have a feeling I am bringing a couple of those home the first time I see them...

i have 4 of the inno 420 1100 flex shafts. they are nice, especially with the grip. the shaft is thick and stable. for a whippy stick it doesnt feel like its gonna break on you when you take a slapper. the only problem is finding a blade that works with the combo for me.

How is the durability of the grip on these shafts?

Also, does anyone know of any online coupon codes for HS&O?

i can't use whippy sticks at all, i'm about 160 lbs and i use a cut down 260 alpha nemesis and a prostock 1100, both of which i've gotten used to. after using them, i tried a friend's TFG which was 87 and i felt the shaft wobble and torque when i took a slap shot. it definately was better for snapshots though.

I never go under 100 but tried one of those Hull MM Ultra Lites and it was a horrible failure. I'll stick to the gorilla flexes.

i like to muscle my shots so whip is a big no-no.

I thought you just loaded up on 85's.

I think I did a poll on this to see what people use. I use to be an only stiff guy, but I got to try out a Hull UL. Now I seem to be able to use anything, I find each has their own benefits, but I didn't really like the UL. However it could've been because I hadn't used a standard shaft for a while.

I use a RedLite XN10 Whip and it's by far my favorite shaft i've ever owned. I'm 6'2" 180 and use a lot of wrist shots and snap shots. Works great for that. Took some getting used to after using a Skoula pro stock Synergy (which was like a 110 stiffness). I've never been very good at slapshots so a whip flex suits me well. It's all personal preference though.
