Heavier high end shafts

Recommended Posts

Hey guys; I know about Inno's shafts of course, but I'm just looking around for any other quality shafts that weigh 320 grams and up. I know Inno, the TPS rubbers, but what else...

Yeah, I had an a/g for a long long time. It performed pretty well, and the thing was a damn tank. Granted I only used it for roller, but It still lasted me for about two years.

Not 100% sure, but the Nike top of the line shaft is around Inno weight and is offered for little money now.

I meant the Apollo. If you can get hold of a blue/black Quest 1, even better. I still have one of those (about 320 grams w/o plug) and it's an indestructible tank with great performance (low-kick, too). I do not know about the old Ignites.

how about Bauer Vapor 4 or 6 ?

I use both and are good values. The Bauer Vapor 4 is the traditional rectangular box shape and weighs about 325 grams. Very strong and durable. Bauer Vapor 6 is a bit lighter and has a concave and convex shape shaft.

Vapor 4, 6 and 8 shafts, and pretty much any of the Nike Ignite shafts.

Edit - I forgot to add the Easton Ulta Graphite shaft. 320 grams and can be found at Canadian Tire.

Sorry in advance for the ignorance, but what's an a/g?

Aluminum/Graphite. Easton A/Gs were what replaced the A/Cs (Aluminum/Carbons) and were replaced by Z-Cores, the shaft Handzus uses. These things are absolute tanks and would bow out before they ever broke.

My TFG shaft feels just as heavy, if not heavier, than my old Novius shaft. The TFG has a 1" plug in it though.

you can also get an older Mission Dangler for about that price. That thing is a beast. With the X-Core to stop it breaking from slashes.

The sherwood forceflex is definitely worth a try. As long as you like the flex and grip of the shaft, it should perform well for you.
