Any way to get the Shanahan/p10 type curve, custom order?

After some searching on the forums, it's pretty clear that I'm not the only one that loved this curve...I tried to use the Forsberg clones when I started playing again and just didn't like the really low lie (I'm 6'5), but the Datsyuk from RBK seems like the closest thing. The old shanny was a lie 6, and I know that Claude Giroux uses that curve, so if there was a way to order his pro curve that would be one thing, but does anyone know if there is another way to get a hold of one without hitting gold finding an old S19 or SE?

Yes, you can get it custom, though with most companies it'll be a minimum order of 12 sticks.

Check out BASE's blade chart. I looked for a bit but couldn't find anything myself that was close. Datsyuk curve is amazing and awfully close to the P10, I just don't like Reebok twigs that much unfortunately. Such a sought after curve, hope it can make its way back.

It wasn't very sought after when they offered it. That was usually the worst selling curve in the lineup.

you could also try the CCM tavares. It shares some of the same characteristics.

I was in the same boat at the start of the year. Decided to buy a shaft and order a bunch of wood blades from eleven hockey. They matched the shanny blade exact, and was one of the best purchases I have made for equipment in the last couple of years.

I was looking for the older style Shanahan. I got them to use their blade chart. It was a 99% perfect match. The rounding of the square toe was out a little.

I can't use a wood blade more than a few games, they get way too soft for me. I can't remember the last time one lasted a month for me, let alone 3 months.

Pretty positive Bauer has this in their curve bank - we've been able to order custom p89s with a minimum of 6 for a customer, so if you don't mind shelling out the money you could order up 6 p10s in an nxg/apx2/nexus1000.
