Help Choosing a Hockey Stick

Recommended Posts

maybe even look into their ek15 too. its been getting some real good reviews and its still less than the apx2 you were looking at. i think Chadd had it and said it was an easy loader so their 85 may feel good to you.

Agree with Chadd, T90 or T100

Tough to beat it for the price right now. The materials/build quality/durability are fantastic.

I was wondering why the T90 seems to be sherwoods most popular stick? (over the t100, n10, n12 etc)

I know the EK15 just came out - and its also in a different price tier, but others are about the same price, and all Ive ever heard from people on here is how great the T90 is.

And just to list the prices on sherwoods line of sticks:

EK15 $200

T100 $170

N12 $140

T90 $125

N10 $100

N8 $70

So just wondering how the n12 compares to the T90.

It was released before the T100 and is what built the reputation of that line. It still ranks near the top in the "bang for the bucks" category.

I'm becoming a fan of Reebok lately. Try out the Ribcore 25k. It's $150 USD and is such a surprising stick at that price.

I'm becoming a Reebok fan recently myself and i'll second the Ribcore.

thanks a lot everyone for your advice. I was at my LHS and really like the T100 so I think I'll be going with that one. My girlfriend was pissed right off when I told her I was buying it. She said I have to wait a couple more weeks until we return from vacation.

Sounds like she needs to stay out of your wallet.

And that's why it's always better to ask for forgiveness than for permission

Hahahha this is a great piece of advice! Well done!

xracer all my gear gets bought on my lunch break or before a game at my LHS and if I order something online it gets shipped to the office so she never knows.

Teach me your ways. So sneaky! Hahaha I am going to try this now haha

Please bear in mind that this strategy only works when you don't do it constantly. It helps to say that you want things that you have no intention of actually buying a few times in between. That way you can cite the times you didn't buy something that you "wanted"

This is fantastic advice. I do need some clarification however; should the 'things that you want which you have no intention of actually buying' be similar in price to the things you actually want. I feel that if you say 'I would like to purchase a new car' vs. a new hockey stick, this strategy will not be as effective.

Can you please clarify?

haha I like to think of it as creative shipping

I like that term 'creative shipping'. That is very creative.
