Pants with the most room

Recommended Posts

I am looking to pick up a new pair of pants after using my cooper girdle since the mid 90's.

I am on the bigger size 6'1" 275 so I would like something that has more room.

Most pants see to end at 38" waist in a xl except CCM are the sizes off or would they be correct and I should go with CCM?

Pro stock pants tend to run big and tall. For example, you can find some with XL+2 (Xtra large plus two inches in length).

Where can you find pro stock equipment?

This^^^

Also I know where you are coming from (I'm 6'1 265) I had some RBZ150 pants in XL and found them a little tight/odd fitting for my shape but they did fit well enough and are a solid pant. The warrior pants are pretty good (volume wise) and also ive found some of the bauer nexus gear fits a bit better for us larger guys. If I were to go back to pants I'd consider the warrior pro stock for sure.

I would second Tech1208's suggestion to check out the Tackla 9000's. I can't comment on fit personally beyond saying that they offer a husky model, however, I love my Tackla's and they seem to last forever.

Similar build (6'0"/265lbs) and after trying on a few different pants at my LHS - Reebok, CCM, Bauer, and Warrior - I found the Reebok 16k in XL to be damn near perfect. If anything, they're almost too big, as I really have to crank down on the laces and belt to get them snug, and will probably need to grab a pair of suspenders if I lose any weight. Wish I could have tried Tackla's as I read they're great for bigger guys, but they didn't have any in stock and I didn't want to buy anything without trying it on first, maybe you'll have better luck there but if not, I'd say try the Reeboks.

As a bigger guy myself I wear the Tackla 2440 hockey pants and love them. Bauer also makes the Nexus 600 in sizes up to 3XL.

Got mine off hockey monkey as they seem to always have a good promo going on.

Cheers

Bauer Vapor APX pants are extremely roomy IMO.

My APX pants have much more room than my Nexus 1000's however less padding.

Reebok or CCM XXL pro stock should be a good fit, assuming you've got a good-sized frame, not just huge in the middle.

Wish it was all good frame I am still carrying my simpathy weight from the baby now need to get back in the gym

This is what I have as well and they are very comfortable but fair warning they are not very protective on the backside of the pant

There aren't many pants on the market with more padding in the back.

I also found the Tackla 9000's to be lacking backside protection when I was pant shopping last week. The Reebok 20k seemed a little bit better, the Nexus 1000 had the best backside protection of the 3 pants in my opinion.
