Catalog Review

Recommended Posts

Not that this will help you, but I saw the Reebok catalog last week and I was impressed with the product. What I liked about their stuff was that they didn't use thier own designs and specs like Nike did. The pads are Jofa and they don't deny it. Everything is very traditional looking (no white skates). Very nice.

Reebok catalog looks good...

Good thing CCM had all that product ready when Reebok bought them! It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to RBK Hockey...

Can't wait for the PDF's - I won't have my catalog for a while...

I've played with some of the Pro Stock 6K's and they have amazing feel to them. They were really well balanced and i could keep my head up the whole time when i stick handled from the great feel. Does anyone know if the rest of the stuff Is supposed to be good, and if they are comming out with a tapered blade?

from what i know, the JOFA and Koho ops's completely bombed, so i think it would be a bad marketing choice for rbk to go with something that's proven to fail

Putting on a "cooler" logo seems to work for most products. Lots of people who wouldn't touch a true 1 are now trying to lay hands on the Vapor XXX.

Yes, they are. I thought the OPS were just repainted JOFA and KOHO one-pieces?

There is a Jofa logo on the bottom of the RBK 6k stick that I bought last night.

In THC's defense, they have to go this route. Look how Nike did - they jumped into the pool head-first. They did not take Canstar equipment and slap a Swoosh on it - they tried to push the envelope in their first year. By having Jofa and Koho as buffers, it makes it easier for the Rbk stuff to gain acceptance. THe way the consumer sees it is, "Well, this is pretty much a Jofa pad, however, I can live with the Vector logo." I expect Rbk to have a completely new line in a couple of years if things go well.
