Grave77Digger 1 Report post Posted October 23, 2020 My son finally received his stick from Base hockey. It snapped during warm ups for my sons first varsity game. Had it less than 2 weeks. I sent Base an email October 14th and have no heard from them. I've called them and no one answers, I've sent 2 emails to warranty support and even emailed Ron Kunisaki. Not a peep from anyone. Did I mention the stick was late also? $250 for a stick that broke in less than 2 weeks and was late getting shipped.

Have you thought of checking out prostockhockey.com for pro-stock returned hockey sticks?
Sniper9 530 Report post Posted October 26, 2020 I've stopped even entertaining the idea of buying from base hockey. I've owned four sticks from when they first started out. At the time they were by far the most durable stick out there, and for 150ish bucks cdn, they were a steal, and performed very well. But now there's a lot more competition like no name, chs, etc. Base does have unique curves etc, but for me, I use a p28 70-75 flex. Nothing fancy. Venom1 1 Report post Posted December 18, 2020 Both No Name and All Black carry the "Lidstrom" (W02/P02) Pattern if you're looking for an alternative brand. The curve market is so strange to me. My older boy switched to a P28 as soon as I could get that curve in his flex (BattleMode was the first to offer it in youth flexes), but as he's gotten older, and his playing style has changed, he's switched to a P88 (My 8 year-old still uses and enjoys the P28). I'm really struggling to find the P88 option at the retail level right now, though. Youth sticks for years came in either P92 or P88, but they've since switched to a majority being offered in only P92 and P28. CCM, for instance, only offers the P28 on the youth JetSpeeds, and a P29 on the youth Tacks sticks.

Base has been known to have very good customer service in the past so i would've given them the benefit of the doubt. Worst case, you can always get your credit card company to investigate and refund.
VegasHockey 1280 Report post Posted January 13, 2021 Their sticks are overpriced and too heavy for the cost.
Miller55 333 Report post Posted January 13, 2021 (edited) Their blades are trash made out of the thinnest, cheapest material you can find. I have destroyed a blade in one stick n puck session. A Warrior dolo has never lasted me less than 6 months. It's a shame because I can't find iginla anywhere else so I just went to PM9, but the Iggy shoots so much better Edited January 13, 2021 by Miller55

Never used this company. Looks like they're sold out. Do they restock often? BTW, this looks a lot more open than Iggy, and the lie is 5. I used lie 4 on Iggy and Base offers that. I would try this though for 160$ when they're in stock. I'm pretty happy with the PM9/e4, but I still haven't figured out my wrister. Snappers are ok, passing and stick handling are phenomenal but the lack of any toe has made it hard to get my shots up.

Tape a viagra to the blade.

At the time and still compared to now, one of the most durable sticks and blades I've ever used. I never broke any I had except when I used the two piece for roller and that was only the blade and our roller games were played on smooth concrete.

I'm referring to the blades only, which I used in a two piece on sport court for roller and it was shredded after 1 hour shooting around. I thought it was just the tape and then I looked and saw that the whole blade had split and was dropping what appeared to be drywall all over the rink. This was recently, so maybe the quality got worse. As of now I have some w01 tapered blades, but I really would like some more of those bc12s from Base.
