P90TM Curve

I agree with this. My evolution was from a W71 > P14 > P92 > P28 > P90T

My biggest issue with the P28 is the shape of the face. I hate the extremely round toe and prefer a more square shape similar to a P92.

Both P28 and P90T require you to shoot off the toe and both are great for pulling in the puck for toe drags and such.

That being said, I recently tested out a P92 with a P28 curve pattern and liked it a lot. I think that will likely be my next curve pattern.

How are the rockers on the p14 and the w71? I prefer the rocker on a p88 and both of these look flatter than a p92.

Old thread I know, but can anyone tell me if the CCM P90TM and True TC6 have the same lie? Are they the clones or slightly different?

The truth is out there....

Both are listed as a 5 but who knows if they are exact or not, same goes for the pattern.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. I haven't seen the TC6 available locally to see for myself.

I see them both listed as a 5, but did a bit of research online and read conflicting info, so I was hoping someone here had firsthand experience.

True's P90tm blade is T90T per their website and per icewarehouse

I have both and CCm is slightly lower

Thanks for confirming, I appreciate it!

When you say the CCM has a slightly lower lie, do you mean less than 0.25? Do they both play the same?

I don't think anyone can tell you the exact numbers of a lie by eyeballing it lol.

No kidding…

Buzz has been around for many moons (like myself) so I was asking for an estimate from his experience.

Does anyone know how CCM's P90TM curve compares to Warrior's W90T. I know it's their version of it, but is it a clone, or different like Bauer's version?

I'm looking at picking up a LX3 pro, but haven't seen the W90T locally.

I don't know about Warrior, but Bauer's P90TM is exactly the same as CCM's P90TM, I have both (different retail CCM sticks and Bauer Nexus League marked as P90TM), and they are identical. Sherwood's PP90MX is the same lie but has a slightly different curve on a toe.

Thanks, I haven't tried Bauer's P90T curve, but it looked a little different in-store. I have tried the PP90MX, and didn't like it.

Has anyone tried Warrior's W90T, if so, how does it compare to CCM's P90TM curve?

I haven’t used the Warrior retail version, but I have used the pro stock P90T, which is probably the closest to pro Benn that’s out there. For what it’s worth, here’s my experience having used most of the available variations. The pro Benn, which is my favourite, has the highest lie and the deepest, most sudden, deep kink at the very toe. It’s basically a true P92 that’s been modified at the end, which actually makes it slightly shorter than a standard P92. The CCM pro version of p90t is very close to the same thing, but the kink is a bit less aggressive. The retail CCM and Bauer P90TM play quite a bit differently than a pro Benn. The lie is significantly lower and the curve runs more through the blade, with only the slightest break right at the toe. I actually find switching from a Benn to a retail P92, or even a P28, easier than going from a Benn to a P90TM. The TRUE version (TC6 / P90T) is also kind of its own thing, which I personally find very difficult to use. It has a narrower heel and a rounder toe, almost like a P91. The kink is a bit more pronounced than the P90TM, but not dramatically so. Even PRO’s Benn version isn’t really a true Bauer Benn. It’s based on the pro CCM version, which has a slightly softer kink. For me, it’s either Bauer Benn or something entirely different. Lately I’ve been using PRO’s Thompson. I find it plays somewhat similarly to Benn but it’s much longer and taller, with the most aggressive toe break of all of them. I’ve tried most of the popular toe patterns over the years and I’ve found the Thompson is the best and most fun for puckhandling. The downside is that because I’m about a foot shorter than Thompson, I find it harder and slower to lift my heel and load a shot properly because of the angles of a very long blade without forgiving pocket. All of this should probably be prefaced with the fact that I’m extremely picky about curves and have likely lost my mind at some point, which may be messing with this entire analysis.

Warrior seems to call their version W9T - W90TM, so not sure what that means lol

Personally, I need the lower lie of the CCM P90TM, but really want to try the LX3 pro stick
