UPS Canada Package Marked Delivered to BSharp Ottawa

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Hoping someone here might have some advice or experience. I recently shipped a package to BSharp Ottawa via UPS Canada. According to tracking (1Z69775A6842519706), it was marked “delivered” and signed for by someone named Collin from the store.

The issue is—BSharp says they didn’t sign for or receive anything.

I’ve tried getting in touch with UPS, but so far no real help or answers. I'm starting to wonder if the box might have been delivered to the wrong location or signed for by someone unrelated.

Has anyone dealt with something similar with UPS Canada or with BSharp Ottawa? Any tips on how to get this resolved—or get UPS to actually look into it?  Is there anyone here from Ottawa that could assist?

Pretty much have to have UPS handle it. Theres nothing BSharp can really do about it. Unless they're mistaken, which... maybe?

Well there's no reason that b sharp would lie, especially if they don't have staff with the name Collin.

Maybe there was a Collin at the store, just not someone who actually works there?

The issue is to that a Colin does work at the store

Could they be stuck in Customs?

I'm surprised UPS or the store weren't more helpful. If the store has an account they should have a higher level of support than the average joe.

The tracking says the box was delivered but the store said it never got there.  If it was me and I still worked retail, I would check other stores in the plaza or the surrounding area

Maybe I’m cynical, but, don’t all signs point to the store received the package, employee Colin signed for it, and then somehow the package got lost, so now the store is lying and denying to cover their mistake? Simply marked delivered has some potential tracking error issues, but signed for by employee doesn’t leave many options.

In my experience with American UPS, (we ship a lot of packages to customers through UPS for my job) once something is signed for, or confirmed delivered, they won’t do much of an investigation, because they did their part. If it’s lost or stolen, they mostly say “sucks brah.”

So you think the store is covering up employee theft, wouldn't that be bad for their business? Or am I misreading it?

I think they either lost it and are covering their asses or someone stole it and is pretending it’s lost. But, I’m just a guy on the Internet who tends to not trust people/businesses when it comes to money. Maybe there’s a reasonable, small misunderstand or mistake that can be resolved.

It's common for Delivery drivers that deliver to the same addresses on a route to know the names of the people that sign for packages ( i.e. receptionists, warehouse supervisors ),  It's also common for drivers to drop a package in the reception area, enter that person's name on their device and take off without actually getting anyone to sign.  Happens all the time at my job.  My guess is the package got delivered to the wrong address and the driver just entered the name.

The problem is likely with UPS.  That's where I'd concentrate my effort.  unfortunately, it's hard to find anyone that cares so it'll probably end up in an insurance claim.

Good news is the box has been found.  It was delivered to the wrong suite.

Glad it worked out. Wonder if it actually was, or if that's just what bsharp said after you made this post and the Google review, they dug a little deeper to actually locate your parcel in their shop.
