Hockey Pants Suggestion?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for recomendations on a pair of hockey pants for a men's league. I have a pair of 14yr old Tackla 5000 which have finally worn out. I am looking for a light, pair with lots of mobility. I have looked at another pair of 5000's or a pair of Easton Ultra Lites. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

How much do you want to spend? There are several good options at each price point but it depends on what your budget is.

If you can afford to stick with Tackla I'd recommend it. The 5000's are my choice as well, one of the best pants I've ever worn. If you are looking for something a little cheaper a lot of guys seem to like the Mission M-1's, never tried them myself. I've seen a few places selling them for under $80 right now.

Well I use the 852's and they are a pretty nice pant with tons of protection without sacrificing weight. The 652's are basically the same so I would recommend them but there are also alot of nice pants out there, I was looking into some Tacklas before I got the ccms so I would recommendd those also.

Hey folks........

I am leaning towards the Tacks 652 pant. Does anyone have any feedback on that one?

Cheers

eman

I was not fond of my 852s but I never looked at the 652s.

If you're lucky, you can pick up a pair of Franklin pro stock pants on eBay like I did. I paid $30 for them brand new. Awesome pant, good fit, light weight, good protection.

If you still want the protection..Tackla is good..

you may find a deal on the tps response pant that was made for HG..its a Tackla copy..

if you're looking at a little less protection and value.

Sherwood 7000..lot of pant for $50

2004 Mission M1 or this year's M2 pant..

CCM 852 if it fits you.. - note to the 652 guy for an extra $10 the vents, etc are worth it..

I haven't seen the new Bauer stuff..but they have a long standing good rep..
