Saw them at my LHS today, were just getting them in. I ran a quick search and didnt get any info on them. Any specs?

Apparently they're pretty light and durable. Their grip makes polarfibre seem like nothing tho. A teammate won a force off a raffle last summer, i'll see him in a couple of weeks to ask him how he liked it.

Is it just me or is the Eclipse a taperflex fused with an axion blade? They come in the same flexes and the weights works out to about the same when i added them together.

Sorta, but with a few differences. The Eclipse's shaft is tapered and dosn't have the sandpaper type coating , unlike the Taperflex shaft which is standard and has the sandpaper type coating. Also, The Axion blade in the Eclipse is full composite and decently light, unlike the standard Axion blade which is a Hybrid and is on the heavy side.

Silly me. Also is the sharkskin coat brutal on gloves? I've felt it and it didnt exactly feel great.

The Taperflex is standard. But, it starts out thicker at the top, then becomes skinnier at the kickpoint. In other words, the shaft has a bigger/wider shaft than most sticks.

a bunch of ppl on my high school team got the tapers n a couple force flexs. they all seemed to have the sandpaper grip on em, n i didnt mind it at all. the 95 flex tapers and 90 flex force flexes are amazing shafts. out of like 5 tapers n 3 force flexes, i think only 1 of each broke, so they were pretty good on durability. and one guy has 2 of the tapers, and they lasted him all yr, and hes a tank on sticks too...broke 4 responses and 2 rubber responses this yr

It tapers to fit Standards blades, and I don't see the stick that often, but I've never seen it without the Sandpaper grip.

Isn't that what a z-bubble does. I have had problems with z-bubbles breaking wear it tapers to fit in standard blades. Did sherwood fix tis problem or does the same thing ahppen with these sticks?

Same concept, however, SW's shaft is bigger in the handle and tapered down to a standard.
