Just like dis right herrrrr...

Anybody got one and can give me feedback on em?? Would they hold a full set of gear?? Perhaps one of the shop guys has these in stock and can give me a general opinion on them?? I'd much prefer to bring a backpack like this to college than my huge Tackla baby. It can also double as a school backpack! Like 2 bags for the price of one for the poor college student!

Doesnt look to bad actually. Anybody ever tried to fit a full set of ICE gear in them. I've seen people use them for roller but never for ice.

I had an old nexed backpack bag and I was able to fit a whole set of ice gear in it, though I did have flimsy shinguards and a girdle. I'm guessing this back won't be much smaller, if it's smaller at all.

i'm not familiar with which bags are which sizes, but i can tell you for sure i've seen a couple that were plenty big for ice. Then again i've seen others that are pushing being too small even for roller. Look around though, i KNOW some companies make diesel sized ones.

On of the guys on my team has a Mission backpack bag and he loves it. That reminds me, I still need to charge him for it.

I can picture the Synergy bag being quite large...22 inches wide and 34 high seems pretty nice(In fact, it would probably look pretty silly on me since im only 5'6...oh well lol). It's the 14 inches thick, that I see as the main problem.

That's about the same size as the guy on my team and he does look a bit goofy.

Personally, I don't like the looks of the backpack bag. I think it looks really geeky and it goes against the 'traditional' hockey bag ideology (that being that a hockey bag is not backpack form). However, a very smart idea by Mission/ Easton and anyone else who invented it. :P

I've thought about the Synergy backpack bag. Two hands free to navigate sticks, water bottles, doors, hand shakes in the lobby, the after skate "what the hell did I do with my keys," etc. While in theory it is a great idea the Synergy backpack is huge...capable of handling a full set of ice gear easily. As for proportion...yeah, wearing this thing makes you look like you're trying to establish camp 3 in the locker room. If you have to walk up and down five flights of stairs in order to go to hockey then it makes sense. If not...just seems to much to me for the money. There are better bags for less.

I have the older blue model. It's good but you have to pack a certain way you can't just throw it in. It's great if you don't have a car but is showing signs of wear after about 2 yrs.

OK, perhaps this is a generation gap thing, but with the influx of polls that's been hitting the board lately, has anyone gotten a feel for the overall consenses regarding the Bag-Back-Pack, gay, or not gay? (to qoute Seinfeld - not that there's anything wrong with that)

AGAIN, it's likely just because I'm an old fart, but we rag on guys that show up at our beer league with one of those things (yeah, I understand it can be handy/more comfy, but..... )

I wouldnt suggest using a backpack for ice hockey. I've got both Mission and Hyper ones, and my roller stuff barely fits into it. It does look weird, but its great for transporting my stuff through airports and rink doors, holding sticks/waterbottles, etc.

My Easton (Air backpack?) doesn't hold all of my roller equipment nor does it fit my skates and I'm only a size 7EE. I'm not too happy with it, it's decent for coaching, but a chore for anything else.

I know 3 people who have the Synergy backpack and they have no problems fitting all of their ice gear into it.

In fact, the next bag I get is going to be the Synergy backpack.

What a bunch of wimps, we all know that real hockey players use roller bags. :-)

I've sold a lot of the CCM Externo/Maverick backpacks. They hold hockey equipment just fine. I'd say equivelant to a 36" bag. In my sanitizing/deodorizing business, I've come across Eastons, Missions, etc. Since I have to take equipment in/out of the bags, I'm experienced in what fits and what doesn't. They all seem OK for hockey equipment. I actually like stuffing them better than the regular bags with that annoying middle strap the always gets tangled up.
