New Bauer Supreme Skate

This is my first post. I was watching a Chicago Wolves game on tv and one of the Defensemen had What looked like an updated Supreme. The blue part on the heel on the 8000 was white on his skates. It was clearly a bauer skate w/ lightspeeds. Any info would be appreciated.

Sounds like a 6000? Could just be an 8000 white different colors to match team colors?

Is it possible bauer has a new model being tested. The 8090 is a different skate than the rest of the supreme line. It was definetly not a 6000 or an 8090

Doubt it. The 8000 was axed from the 05 lineup. The 8090 is the flagship Supreme skate.

what i meant is that the 8090 is a wider fit than the 8000/7000/5000. So I was just asking if what I saw is a possible updated 8000 or maybe 9000

If you look at pro and college not many people wear 8090 and alot of people wear 8000 and 7000

Other way around, half of UMichigan wears 8090's and many pros now wear 8090's also.

Exactly, if there were a season you'd see more guys wearing 8090...

Just as an aside, i saw Tallackson (?) of the gophers wearing a skate i didnt recognize, maybe we're seeing the same skate?

In the World Juniors, a ton of guys were wearing the 8090 skate and i dont think that bauer would want a skate taking over the XXXs top of the line status.

A guy on the Cougars (WHL), here in Prince George has 8090's with custom white material on the heel/ankle section of the skate. Filewich out of Lethbridge Hurricanes also has custom white 8090's too.

I don't think Filewich's are custom. I think that was a spray paint job.

It could have been... I never saw them up close just from the stands. I just assumed they were white leather/custom job etc.

i have the 8000's and i havent found them in any stores since. i have been to a lot of ahl games and when you compare the 8000's to the 8090's, a lot more guys wear the 8000's. i think thats because the 8000's are stiffer than the 8090's which i think are for comfort

You can get any skate in any stiffness...and 8090s are stiff as all hell.
