My first game was the first year the ACC opened. Way up in the nose bleeds second last row from the top. I was 8 or 9 and there were a bunch of drunks around me. The best thing was that the Leafs beat the Rangers 8-1. Sundin got the hattrick and Messier scored for the Rangers. Those are the things I remember most.

Sunday Oct 11/92. Sat in the Prime Orange's in the Old Aud in Buffalo for Habs-Sabres. I don't remember who won, but I've still got the ticket stub (in fact, I've got just about every ticket from every game/concert/event I've ever been too - the ones I had a ticket for anyway).

I've been to 4-5 games in Buffalo and last season I got to my first Habs-Leas game in To. I have yet to see a game in Montreal.

Eherbo, don't worry none of our towns have NHL teams right now either. ;)

Try finding the AHL, or ECHL. Hockey is hockey. Sometimes I take my son down to the local rink to watch the college teams play.

Bruins against the Blackhawks at the old Boston Garden. Tony Esposito was in net and Derek Sanderson sliced open the upper half of his brand new goal pads. Esposito then made the mistake of trying to take on Sanderson and got the crap beat of him.

My first game, I think, was when i was pretty young, I don't think I was any older than 5. It was a playoff game, toronto vs LA, I think. Or maybe it was toronto vs st louis. It was one or the other, but all i can remember is fireworks going off in the gardens, and me crying. So, my first game was only really about a period, lol.

My first time seeing NHL teams play was a Flyers-Capitals exhibition game in London, at the John Labatt Centre. First time in an NHL arena was Sabres vs. Blues at the HSBC Arena.

Kings vs. Oilers, The Coliseum here in Edmonton, Januray 1994. I remember the game was on my 7th birthday and as such I got tickets to see Wayne play.

New Jearsey vs Ottawa ,it was the first Ottawa game in the year 2000 and they gave coins to everyone beacause of it,and New Jearsey won 3-2 in OT

I still have the coin they gave me at the us-canada world cup game in Philly in '96. It was the first public event at the new arena.

1997 Rangers v. Hurricanes in the Greensboro War Memorial Colliseum, before they finished building their arena in Raliegh. THe place holds slightly over 22,000 for hockey, and about half were there for the Canes, about half for the Rangers, and the rest in were there cause Gretzky was in the building. Rangers won, they set a franchise attendance record with a sellout.

Then the following night the Hurricanes set the record for the lowest attendance at an NHL game ever when they played the Calgary Flames. Only like 2,100 showed. Oops.

I'm pretty sure it was in 1992, Devils vs. Blackhawks. I don't remember anything about the game because I never really watched any hockey games until I went to the game so I didn't know much of what was going on, plus I was only 5, but I remember it ended in a 2-2 tie.
