T'Blades weight

Recommended Posts

I'm sure it not exactly 100% sure...but here my opening!

Maybe some people know..that i weight my L-2 blade and my Synthesis to know if my blade-heavy was mental or real(conclusion my synthesis was 20 gram less...with a extension of 56" i think it does make a little difference!)

So i did the same with my T'blades holder and my Prolite3 holder...i go to my Grocery and weight them with the fruit/vegetable balance....so it not 100% EXACTLY..but it still close..

so here what the thing gave me:

1. T'blade(size 9) with blade and everything....weight 250 gram

2.Prolite3(size8) weight 260 gram

I know what you will said....IT NOT THE SAME SIZE...ok on this one, maybe somebody will correct me(i.e JR) A size 9 is 280mm and the size 8 is 272mm

So what i did is 250/280mm=0.89gram per mm

260/272mm=0.96 gram per mm

Conclusion....My number might not be exactly exact(with the balance...i would say there a range of 10% of mistaken) And i might be wrong with the length of the holder!!!So if everything i did was right....then you can see there no big difference with the weight of the T'blades!!than any other holder!

WHY DID I DID THAT?? Because i used T'blades on my 1152 skate since 1 year and a half....and i'm in need of new skate(might be the Flexlite V10 or L-5)

So i was wondering if i don't put my T'blade on my new skate it would make a big difference(and after 1 yr and a half..they doesnt last 4-5 longer! pretty expensive) And i heard a lot of good thing about the Lightspeed(1.being light lol...well more lighter than the PROLITE3!)

so that was my observation...post comment if you think i'm wrong or anything...

Thanks guys

See ya

Yes thats what he meant. If all your stuff is correct that is pretty interesting. T blades are supposed to be so light, so much better, but it doesnt seem like they are. What exactly did the grocery store workers say to you when you showed up with skate holders wanting to use the fruit machine? Good work!

i was with 1 friend...so he wait approx. 10 minute(to wait to see nobody in the ''hallway''(i don't know if it the correct words) and then we weighed them...same thing i did with my blade...

Anywayz i don't think the grocery worker would say something to me...it not like if i did a crime...i just borrow the balance for 30 second!!

I did that because...a lot of company(if not every) bullshit us with fake number...when you say something wheigh 145 gram(Synsthesis) and they do weigh 160 gram (it not a big deal...but it still a 10% difference)so now with a OPS clocking at 400...in reality your stealth is 440gram (PURE EXEMPLE...Maybe it really does weigh 395gram!)

So what does interest me is..the fact to see how much a number on a stick/blade/skate could make you think it ligther or better when it not...

T'blades advertise to be 40% ligther....as i can see it only 10% ligther if not lower(because the PROLITE3 are pretty heavy...the ligthspeed are lighter i'm sure!)

But it freaking me...how much MENTAL equipement are!!!!(and it not only you guys, they got me in their game too!!!)

That why, this year, i'm buying the Flexlite V-10 and not v-12...because the difference migth me what??50 gram ligther for 200CND more...LOL!

Back in the day with the woodies(3year ago i was still playing with woodies), nobodys was caring about the weigh and the balance and every useless stuff!!!!Company fuck us sooo much...that now we are buying 350CND stick and 750CDN skate!!!!

When the difference is sooo MINIMAL(5 to 10% ligther than the lower model at 200CDN lower too!!!)The difference is more on the paper and MENTAL and everything!!I try to get this off my head...because now i can only use the R2XN10...all the other stick seem like brick!!!!(like my recent L-2 i bought)!!

You guys (Quebecois) should really learn to speak better english. You are part of Canada. I know it's hard when you live in a small town in Quebec, but english is the universal language. If you want to live and/or work anywhere but Quebec (or France), you are most likely going to have to speak english. CobrAA, this post is quite hard to understand. You should at least edit the words height and change them to weight.

by interesting grammar i mean your word or der different than normal and your conjugation of verbs is wierd. also, jason, the universal language is axually madarin chinese as it is the language spoken by the largest amount of people, next being somewhat of a tie between spanish and english.

chesterfield, you are wrong when you believe that mandarin is the "universal" language. You misunderstand the definition of that word. You are better off knowing English because you can go more places in the world and have an easier time finding someone who speaks English. You won't find all that many people who will speak mandarin unless you are in China or the Southern Asia.

Universal doesn't refer to the number of people that speak the language. I guess I was referring to how english would be the most common language in International business. I doubt that someone from Malaysia and someone from Spain would conduct business in Spanish. Both the Malays and the Spaniards would most likely meet in the middle and speak english. Ask anyone and you find that English is the universal language of the modern world. It's also the universal language of this site as far as I can tell.

QandA, you did at least 6 errors, Joke. You are good.

By the way, I'm from QC too so don't jump on me. lol

Sorry CobrAA. I guess I was a little out of line. I don't speak french at all. I took in school until Grade 8 when I switched to Spanish. It just surprises me that people in Quebec (especially in the larger cities) don't speak english. If I was a french speaking Quebecois, I would teach my kids french first ofcourse, but before they are school age, I would already be working them on english too. The ability to speak english is invaluable. You are right about your age though. You're young and you have alot of time. Watch english TV, it might help. My whole point to my first post was to say that I had a really hard time understanding your post. Funniest thing about this is that I'm a huge Montreal Canadiens fan and I really enjoy watching their games in french. Even more than english. I don't really know why? It just sounds right to me.

Back to the original topic. I'm surprised to see that the supposedly ultra light T'Blades werent that much lighter than a regular holder. I've never tried them, but I doubt I ever will now that the skates/holders are so light as it is.

CobrAA:

I grew up in Montreal too (Brossard), all hockey instruction was in French. English is hard (my 2nd language, too).

Did you weigh just the holders, or the holders + the blades?

Thanks.

i weigh the holder, stabilizater and the blade....same as my Prolite3(including the blade)

I did that because i put t'blade on my 1152(size 8) so i keep my Prolite3...and i buy t'blade holder(size 9) on ebay for my next pair of skate....but now...i think i will keep the Lightspeed on!Since the weigh is pretty the same!!

That why, there not the same size...anywayz, i did that...so you can see that company do lie on their marketing...

Off Topic...i live in Lasalle-Verdun(next to Brossard!) LOL

Watch english TV, it might help.

It will help very much if you don't feel obligated to watch it in english(at least that's what I found for me)

What I mean by obligated is if you don't want to watch it and you told you to watch it in English, you won't improve. It has to be natural.
