Recommended Posts

I just got an e-mail from the EPuck newsletter letting me know that they're having some warehouse clearance sales and one of the deals that caught my eye was a TPS Rubber shaft in a whip flex for only $39! Needless to say, I just bought one and figured i'd let you guys know about this deal as well.

Some of the other hot deals....... Response Rubber OPS' for $89

I know that is awsome! I have been buying my Rubbers from them for while, they have had them for $50 bucks for at least year now. I called a guy there and he said they have the for so cheap since the bought them on a closeout, and since thats case I am sad to see them running out. Maybe I will pick up just one more. Just curious Accord, What color did you get?

I got yellow, because they didn't have the whip flex in any of the other colors.

Is the rubber a better shaft than the Easton Typhoon 80 Flex?

I can get that here in Hong Kong for $70 or so... the Rubber will also come to that kind of price with shipping... so which is the better deal?

What do you mean by "better"? I have tried both and liked the rubber better because I loved the grip which helped my shot. The only bad thing is that the Rubber will eventually ruin your gloves. I THINK The rubber is the better deal, but that's just Personal Preferance.

Yup I have been getting the blue Rubbers and after one game with them the palm of the glove on my bottom hand was completely blue, If you dont wanna mess up your glove dont get it. I love the stick so much though that it dosent bother me much anymore.

600th post!

I don't think it actually ruins your palms, it just turns your palms black which is no big deal but structurally/performance wise it doesn't do anything to them.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong since mine has yet to arrive, i'll definitely do a review on it after using it for a few weeks.

No it wrecks the palms of your gloves. My old Z-Airs got destroyed by a rubber shaft.

Shaft......$39

gloves....$199

wrecking a nice pair of gloves over a $39 shaft, priceless.

I guess I mixed currencies but $199 CDN is a good price for good Eagles. Don't get me wrong the Rubber is an amazing shaft, just wrecks gloves.

I was just checking that deal and I was wondering if there was a real BIG difference in shaft shape. Because I know the yellow version is rounded but is that good or bad? and the black version is normal corners but is that good or bad for someone who is used to an XN10 shaft shape?

It's going to feel different 1.because of the shape and 2. because of the grip. Also your shots won't have as quick a release as they would with an xn10.

The yellow version isnt just rounded, buts its also smaller in diameter.
