    +1 for the CCM Ultra Tacks. I've been using them for a few months now and find them very protective and comfortable.

    My trusty old Bauer 5000 finally bit the dust. I picked up a CCM RES100 and a CCM 580 cage. I took out the ear covers (never liked the way they felt) and replaced the CCM ear loops with the old loops from by Bauer.

    Picked up some new shinguards. CCM RBZ 130s. Skated on them last night and they feel great. My only beef was a small piece of webbing that was supposed to serve as a guide or something for the cross-strap. It didn't work for me so I cut it off and now I couldn't be happier!

    Stopped in Play It Again sports for laces today, and found a brand new Z-Bubble for 14.99! 100 flex! And an original Shanahan Ultra-Lite blade to go with it for only $9.99!

    I agree! I bought the 9000z and 2440 to do a side-by-side comparison and the 9000's won hands down for me. Was hardly a comparison. For being more protective, they still felt slimmer, lighter, and more mobile. I can't wait to get them on the ice!
