Especially if you're accustomed to ice hockey, you don't want to have that front wheel sticking out too far.

....and next week, se may decide she doesn't want to play sports and get into music and infatuated with boys. Kids? You just ride the waves you get & love them all the same!

These would fit in PERFECTLY with the Alkali Assault team I was playing for haha, unfortunately though due to me still rehabbing my knee, don't think I'll be playing this year. But, they were too nice to pass up and I'm gonna use them as motivation to get back haha Got them through work, but they're also online too. HG has them. They're UMaine colors, so yeah, navy blue and baby blue.

I finally got to sharpening my skates with my X02 after the holidays and much procrastinating, shame on me. When I did my first pair of skates it did not turn out that well. There were a few minor bumps that I couldn't get rid of, my technique certainly needed improvement. The plus is that it was pretty easy getting level, only took a few passes with a few adjustments in between. I verified this using the Bat Gauge, which can be confusing at times, but overall is a good gauge. I'd like to test out the Butterfly to see the difference. With my second pair of skates I was able to get a better result, much smoother passes, but still some tiny bumps, just not as much. The last pair of skates I sharpened was smooth and I was able to get it without any tiny bumps. Since I got good results with the last pair of skates, I re-did the first 2 skates and they all look great now. I'll be testing the skates tomorrow night. The best part is that it only takes a few minutes to do, is it really that easy? This machine is awesome, I don't know why I was scared of sharpening my skates and put it off for so long. The X02 is amazing and too damn simple to operate, it pretty much does everything on it's own. For anyone who has any hesitation on the X02, just get it, you'll be happy you did. I wish I bought it 3 years ago when I first looked into it, it's definitely money well spent.

It's on as long as you don't put maple syrup in my fine Shine again.

Thank you. She has been blessed with size(she’s almost 5’ tall), athletic ability and a very high competitive drive, which is a huge asset and headache. She works really hard, gets a lot of ice time and is a GREAT athlete. She also retains and implements instruction well. Anyway, all of the above has afforded her the ability to compete at a high level in every sport she plays.

After a year and a half, I noticed the front rivets were a bit loose. So I had this done recently. Supposedly steel rivets are needed to prevent a holder from moving laterally but I think this should be a good combination of steel and copper rivets. And the fact that some of the synthetic leather goes between the holder and the composite VH boot provides plenty of lateral grip between the boot and the front tower. Maybe the rivet system that started back when steel holders were attached to leather boots has become inadequate for today's composite soles and needs to be replaced by something better. On the other hand, I just had a look at a 50-year-old pair of Super Tacks that I have in my basement and it has 2 copper rivets at the toe!
