I know theres gonna be a size difference between the two of us Ash but I'm actually a girl that started playing in net not too long ago. Im 5'10" and 140lbs. Intermediate is going to be by far your best option for c/a (I'm in a senior small). The c/a actually aren't that uncomfortable on boobs; they're meant to stick out kind of far on the shoulders so even though some of the c/a can be heavy they don't really rest all in one area like normal shoulder pads do. The pants are made pretty wide to begin with so you shouldn't have a fit problem with those. The mask is definitely the most important, you never truly realize how many times goalies get hit in the head until you start playing. Leg pads would most likely be intermediate sizes for you unless if you have super long legs. You could probably use senior sized gloves and blockers but I would encourage you not too just because us girls typically have smaller hands (I'm actually using a senior glove and intermediate blocker). I actually have a pair of Reebok X-Pulse leg pads that are a 30+1 that I'm trying to sell. They're in good condition and I bought them to initially start with but they are way too small for me, I'm in a 33+1 now.

Update on the stinky guy: We had our third game of the summer season (which we won 5-3). I noticed stinky guy was no longer stinky. I asked him, "hey did you wash your gear since last week?" And he says, "yeah, why? Did I smell?" So I told him, "yeah man you smelled like vomit." I guess he realized his own stench and got to it before I had to gift him with febreeze.

Sniper Skin was kind enough to send a Grip along with the Dangle style blade wrap for me to use and give feedback on. Since I just put my beloved Tacki-Mac onto my Warrior QRL The Grip is going to have to wait a little bit until I can actually test it out. Blade Wrap: The wrap feels like plastic and was stiffer than I was expecting. It feels thick enough to make me believe this isn't something that is going to rip apart anytime soon, but at the same time feels like it will not dampen puck feel. Putting the wrap on was fairly easy, except I didn't cut off enough at the end of the wrap so the wrap ended up sticking up because of the excess material (see photos). This mistake was completely on me and I suggest you read the instructions more carefully than I did! So far I haven't found this lip to be affecting my shooting, I can always cut it off but just left it the way it is currently. So far when shooting the wrap felt very similar to a normally taped blade, and if it lasts me 3 months it might be worth the hassle of not having to re-tape my blade every 2 skates since my tape is usually pretty eaten up then. Grip Kit: I am a huge fan of Tacki-Mac and this Grip Kit seems like a more customizable option. It comes with 4 rubber rings, a foam wrap, and a thicker rubber ring for the top of the shaft to create a knob. The rubber rings and foam wrap are a good way to really customize how you wrap the top of your stick and to ensure they fit your hands perfectly. I used tennis grips (while playing tennis) with a raised wrap before and always found my hand and fingers never really fit into the grooves right and I always preferred a flat grip option, I feel Sniper Skin allow for a good deal of customizing the fit here. The grip it self is softer than the Blade Wrap and isn't exactly tacky but it feels like almost a velvet grip feeling found on certain Warrior sticks. I also like how you can get custom text on the grip. Below is showing the excess wrap, I should've cut it down more. It has not affected performance.

@badger_14 I would bet if I turned every pick up into the Shit Show Cup with a cup that could be won, there would be people getting SUPER competitive. Ugh. Now, onto what we've been waiting for, the Tuesday Drop In Report: Since several area rinks are having camps, several drop in groups have converged on another somewhat out of the way rink. Let me start by saying the facilities are WEIRD. The toilets are only accessable through the lobby/game room. So if you have to take a leak mid-way through getting dressed (as I do, because I super-hydrate before), you have to exit the dressing room, go around the rink, go through the lobby/game room area, then go to the loo. Also, you end up in full view of everybody when going to the shower facilities. Ugh. I knew the other goalie, as I used to play against him. He had a shit game today. His defense was only interested in skating the puck. Meanwhile, I was blessed with a GREAT defense today. I was only left hung out to dry a few times. I had a twenty minute shut out. First goal against was when I was trying to freeze the puck against the outside of the goal. The kid going after it smacked my stick from behind and the puck went in. Several goals against were from weird deflections (defenseman's shin guard, etc.). One popped over my stick. In the end, one guy I regularly play with told me that he noticed improvement from me. There was a bit of chippiness- one guy in a visor got rubbed in the nose with a high stick and made a thing of it. Half-shields are bad in rec hockey, and that was yet another example of why. Didn't fight the Vaughn skates today. Overdrive blades helped IMMENSELY. Stay tuned for Thursday's report.
