  3. Glad to see NBH keeping the woodies in the lineup. Loved the one60 and the one75 keeps me going.
  4. 57 cans! W/full gear that's a hernia lifting that bad boy in the trunk. Maybe they should add a hitch attachment so you can tow it behind you! AG/X looks sweet. If my feet fit they may be my next pair.
  5. On the far right after the chamionship with all of the other old guys.

  7. Congratulations David. I'll be eagerly watching the draft. P.S. you made youtube
  8. Product: NikeBauer One60 stick. Proflex 102 P88 curve Reviewer background: Beerleague player 6'1 225lbs. Play D 99% of the time. Blade: I have slowly grown to dislike composite blades due to their lack of feel and the fact that I have been developing soreness in my top hand shoulder and elbow. The blade on this stick is smooth and cushions passes nicely. I can "feel" the puck so much better it's like night and day. The blade started out stiff but has started to flex a little after 5-6 ice times. It's not a noodle yet and I hope to get a couple more games out of it. 8/10 Flex: 102 pro stiff and all of it. It has broken in to maybe 95 flex in 5 games but it still has a great pop when shooting. I lke the 102 as it's not too much nor too little for me. 8/10 Passses: Much more forgiving than a composite. Receiving passes is nice as they tend to "stick" to the blade and don't deflect like a composite. Maybe it's my hands but I like the forgiving nature of wood to help my game. 9/10 Shooting: Clean and simple. You can feel it kick through and release. Puck goes nicely where you want it. I don't take that many slap shots mostly snappers and long wristers but this stick will put it on target and get it there quickly. 8/10 Durability: It's a wood stick and it will get chewed up. The toe is pretty rough but I tend to nurse a stick along if I can. The fit/finish factor is a plus. The glossy white paint and letering is clean and gives it a OPS look. The paint on the blade is the first to go. If you're all about looks give it an extra coat of black to keep it sharp. The white shaft will get discolored if you hack alot. 6/10 Weight/Balance: Both factors are exceptional. The weight is a non factor for me. My RbK 6K shaft and blade and this stick are close to equal in my mind. I really can't tell the difference. Balance is very nice also. Not blade heavy and not blade light either. 10/10 Intangibles: I love this stick and will continue to use it until I am forced to retire it. I used to get caught up in all the hype of OPS but at my level that's a luxury that I'll splurge on maybe once a year. I always seem to come back to the woodies though. Although a bit pricey for $35 I will definitely buy this stick again. ***update*** The stick bit it last night. 6 games and it snapped right at the "hosel" section on a pass.
  9. Did you read the first page of this thread? It's all explained there.
  10. Way to go David. Don't forget the little guys here @ MSH!
  11. So the Vector 50 etc.., and Tacks stick line remain the same?
  12. Kovy must be breaking them in. i read where Glen Murray had to break in a pair of 9K's because CCM can't get him the old 652 tacks anymore.
  13. Man I wish I had a good shop in my area. The Gearzone in Bethlehem is closing...supposedly going to be under new management. There was only one guy there I trusted to sharpen my skates. Plus he was truthful when it came to marketing hype.
  14. I could have sworn I've seen him in some shots where he was wearing the Synergy 1100(? The replacement for the Z-Air). Could be a lighting effect.
  15. Very nice. Thanks JR. Just another example of why MSH is the best out there.

    Mission M-2

Reviewer backgroud: 6'1", 220 lb beer league player. Play twice a week. I used input form MSH when buying these pants. Cost $49.99 US Duration of time product used: 18 months Fit: Definitely not a NA type pant. Euro cut, and snug without being restrictive. The leg openings are wide without feeling like I'm wearing bell bottoms or stovepipes. I think the word countour hits it right. The liner is slick and seems frictionless when skating. It has some type of antimicrobial property in it to keep it fresh. I can say that after 18 months it's still pretty stink free and I do take my stuff out and hang it after every game. The belt is good as I don't like to wear suspenders. 10/10. Protection: Good. Legs and hips are comfortably padded without feeling bulky. Floating spine protector took some getting used to. Kidney protection is good but rides a little high. Tailbone protection is good as I fall on my a## alot. The only points I'll take off are between the tailbone and hip there seems to be a coverage issue. If you fall on the outer corner of your glute you'll notice it for sure. 10/10 Weight: Not terrible. You notice it when they're wet after a game but nothing to complain about compared to the other models in the price range. 8/10 Durability: These things are Tanks! Being a little over an average skater I've had my share of drops. Not an issue at all, but consider my usage time also. 2 times a week for 18 months is still not bad. No loose threads, busted seams, skate cuts, or bad zippers. 10/10 Intangibles: The two things that make this pant stand out are 1. Leg zippers - a $50US pair of pants with leg zippers. Being able to put on your skates before your pants is an important thing for us beer leaguers. We have a little more freight on the train so to say. At the time the closest thing was a pair of Supreme 3000's approx $99. Superb feature on a price point pant. 2. The frictionless lining - the pants glide around you when you stride and I really don't notice them when skating. The internal belt rocks also. 10/10 Conclusion: An incredible pair of pants for an incredible price. At the time of this review the M2's are on closeout as Mission will be debuting an upgraded pair of these for 05-06. If you can find a pair buy them. You won't regret it. Overall review : 48/50 or 96%.
  17. Reviewer background: Age 35, 6'1", 220lbs. beer league player, play LW/D. I've bummed around in different skates since I started playing. Went through a pair of 452's in about 6 months, then bought a pair of pro stock Supreme 7000's. Made a big mistake there as it took me twenty minutes and about three beers just to be able to stand up after a game. Bought a pair of Vector 6.0's in June 2004. Fit: Definitely narrower than Tacks, but OK for my feet. Got the baked once and skated in them for about 2 months until the season started. Had to get them rebaked in November for a hot spot on the inside ankle. I find the boot to stiff enough without being restrictive. No lacebite issues. 8/10 Holder/Blade: The new EBlade is much better than the ProLite and way stiffer. Still prefer the feel of a Tuuk (springy, yet firm). The blade does seem to require shorter intervals between sharpenings than Tuuk's. 7/10 Weight/Protection: No problems so far. Weight wasn't really an issue, but they seem to feel lighter than the 7000's. Protection is good, plenty of puck marks but adequate enough for my level of play. Losing 10 pounds off my butt would make me faster than ounces off a skate. Enjoy your metabolism while you have it kids. 7/10 Durability: So far so good. After 30 beer league games and some open hockey a couple of stiches have come loose, but that's easily fixed with a lighter. 10/10 Intangibles: I've read plenty about the skatelocks becoming deformed, but I haven't had that happen to me yet. They're a little difficult to lace if you put wax laces in. The lacelock is supposed to eliminate that need, but I still use them anyway. I don't like honching down on the laces too much. IMO backlacing and wax laces still work better despite the lace locks. 8/10 Conclusion: I paid $202 US for these skates and they were a bargain. I believe this is a great pricepoint skate for us beer league guys that can't spend >$300 for a new pair of skates. It's also good for parents that need to get their kids skates but can't/won't shell up the $$$. I got a good pair of skates for my money, and at the end of the night when you're doing the checkbook you know you didn't break the bank but still got a quality product that should last for a while. Overall score 8/10
