Reviewer Details: 5' 7" 180 lbs C/b Level Skater Pant Size Medium Here is my review of these pants, I have had them for over 2 years and bought another pair as backup so I have extensive use in these. These pants can still be had on eBay and pro sales and I believe a review is warranted: Fit: Excellent, not a loose pant and legs are slightly tapered for me at least. Hardly notice these pants are on. The legs have a zipper to allow for dressing with skates on and a velcro tab to cover zipper. 2 nylon belts and lace tie secure the front. 10/10 Protection: Amazing protection, never felt a shot in these. Let's just say I have used these in net and felt nothing wearing them. Again, you get excellent protection and its not bulky. There is no protection on inner thighs just for disclosure but hard plastic guards abound in these pants 10/10 Durability: Still going strong after 2 years. There is fraying and a hole in the spandex in the groin/rear but that is normal. There are 2 piece pants so sometimes a button might come undone due to the slots holding the button widening over time. Overall can't complain 9/10 Weight: I personally can't notice but these are not the lightest pants on the market, nor are they the heaviest. This is very subjective but as the pants don't hinder my movements, they aren't noticeable and therefore, the weight isn't enough to warrant negative comment or praise. 8.5/10 Conclusion: Best pants I have ever used to date, I believe there are modern variants but these are excellent pants and I will be my go to pair until I find a replacement. Would recommend to anyone. Notes: Again, these are 2 piece pants. Sizing runs true to most companies with medium being for 32" waist, large for 34" and so on.

Its tough to find a summer job anywhere. Most jobs don't want to invest in training and hiring for someone that will stay on for 2 3 months then leave. I have been through it before best advice I can give is to search for small/non chain jobs.

Bauer Pro 4 Rolls - 1 year review Size - 13" Skill Level B Level/High C Other Gloves Used - Reebok Pro Stock 4 Rolls/852, Warrior Dolomite Fit/Design - Very comfortable, loosing fitting around the hand and a little tighter around the fingers but not very. Comfort foam on the top hand for added comfort and feel. Ventilated at the top for air flow and it definitely comes in handy during games. Overall a nice fitting a comfortable gloves 10/10 Weight - They are not the lightest glove on the market, but they are pretty light to the effect that I do not notice them on my hand when I play 10/10 Mobility - The short cuff and flex thumb make this a very mobile glove in my opinion. One of my strong suits is stick handling and with my Dolomites, I would have some interference from the gloves with some stickhandling. With these, none whatsoever. 10/10 Break-in - Very quick and effortless. Felt ready to go from the store 10/10 Protection - Never was hurt in my hands with these gloves. 4 Roll design with plastic inserts everywhere ensure maximum protection and I can attest to it. 10/10 Durability - These have held up very well. I take care of my gear and it has shown No holes in the palm and no areas of significant wear really at all. I love the feel of the palm on these gloves and the fact that it has held up in one piece is a huge plus. Some stitching has frayed but that is from normal use and not quality issues. Very satisfied with how these have held up 10/10 Final Score: 10/10

After looking at that stick, I can't see how people are infatuated with white sticks

Agreed, if it was mine, it would never touch the ice, just have a nice home on the wall somewhere. Either way though nice pickup

Played my best game of my short career to date. We defeated the undefeated team 2-1, I had the GWG with a snipe from the slot (not common for me) and skated hard all night especially on the penalty kill, breaking up passes and causing havoc! Most important, I finally found a team where everyone has fun and we all mesh

Got my first win as a goalie filling in for a team, won something to the tune of 14-1. Almost had a shutout but a knucklepuck from the circle changed that! Regardless of the score, I'm happy of the way I have been progressing over the first year of playing net and I enjoy it a lot!!

League game tonight we lost, was too lazy to sharpen my skates and they are as flat as the ice so I played poorly (well, worse than usual) To make matters worse, after watching tonight's Ranger vs Capitals game and seeing that Capital player miss a wide open net to only hit the post, I said to myself "How the hell do you miss that, sucks to be him". Well fast forward to my game, teammate rips a shot from the right I know EXACTLY where the rebound is going, off the goalie pad onto my stick, net for days anddddd PING into the post. I now know how it feels to be that player on the Capitals, it sucks!

Its a great day to be a Giants fan, lone New York!

I would write/complain to the league, that sounds like assault and a deliberate intent to do serious injury. The goalie should have to pay for your doctors fees or at least be suspended/expelled from the league.
-
So basically you're saying do it yourself which the customer interprets as why should I buy from you when I can buy elsewhere/online? I mean yea so someone like us we prefer to tape our own sticks and assemble our own helmets but not everyone has that confidence or skill to do it themselves when they can have someone with skill do it.

Welcome to today's society! Also, hate the pickup hockey when I'm home from school. Last 2 times I play no goalie, 12 forwards. I bring the goalie gear, 5 goalies 30 forwards. Its literally the largest cluster f$^$ in the world cause you never know what the session will look like. At least I outplayed the other 4 goalies all of whom have been playing for quite some time, liking the progress I have been making on the 1 year mark of playing in net

Welp you got me, couldn't fool you! I must have fooled my LHS owner with 15+ years experience who has the same coincidence of sizing I have and has seen the phenomena plenty of times, fooled my podiatrist who examined my feet and said I have perfectly normal feet except for my falling arches, and finally fooled myself who can walk, play baseball and other sports, and run in 9.5 sneakers without them falling off and skate as a goalie and player with no dead space and great comfort in my 5.5 CCMs and Reeboks. But you must know me and other people with similar circumstance better than some pros so my apologies. My last post on the topic, I don't want to derail the thread any further.
-
I can't speak for sellout but I wear a 9.5 Sneaker and wear a size 5.5 skate. The difference between what size a skate and sneaker are irrelevant as whatever fits best is whats key. I like the way my feet feel in 9,5 sneakers and they don't fall off when I walk or float. In a 5.5 ccm skate my feet fit perfect. Can't explain it but that's how it works.

The amount of jealousy I have right now is unbearable! Those are my size in Bauer but probably wouldn't fit me as well as my CCM in 5.5. Congrats on an amazing deal!

Ah the ole tailgate dilemma, my take is basically get of of their way if you can (multiple lane road) or stay your ground and let them ride your ass untill they either: A- Go past you illegally and endanger their life B- Hit you in which case you sue them and make bank or report to police and they get a summons (its happened before) C- They just sit there and that's about it Don't accommodate their requests because its only enabling a bully on the road. Also if its a one lane road, then why take the risk in pulling over when another car can hit you, you run over the countless crap on the shoulders of a road, and many other factors affecting you than the bully. If he's in a rush or if he REALLY wants to get around you, he will, otherwise they don't realize that they are tailgating or they will just keep doin it for no reason and accomplish nothing.

That's one busy laundry room! Onto my vent, people who not only drink your water bottle at pickup, but proceed to throw it on the floor and treat it like crap and throw it! Coming really close to filling my water bottle with laxative and just enjoying reaction
-
Just take it and throw it on top of a table/washer, that's whats done at most schools

Goalie skating is a lot different than player skating. Long blade, less support, different movements, and more restrictive gear make it a challenge. You will probably struggle in the beginning but get the hang of it through practice. If you want to get good at goalie or learn the right way, you will need goalie skates, if you learn on player skates you will not learn correctly and it will take you longer to get used to the movements. That being said, your best bet is to go to sticktimes and open pickups and just practice. Sticktime is good for working by yourself and getting used to moving around and feeling out the position. Players at sticktime will only try breakaways on you 99% of the time so you can try and play against them but in my experience, all it does it make you pull muscles and tire you out fast. Open hockey is the best practice and learning tool because you will get as close to real game playing as possible. You will learn to face shots, react to passing, etc than sticktime can't teach you. Most players will be happy to have any goalie in net so don't worry about showing up and being terrible. Finally, just go on craigslist or ebay and outfit yourself with proper fitting gear or borrow/buy from someone and try it out. I made the leap and I love it doing what I said above. I have been playing goal for about 10 months and am going to start looking for a team to play for as I feel that I am ready to play in a league. I would advise against jumping into a league early because if you can't handle it, the players will get frustrated when you let in 15 goals a game, unless you get on a team or league that is beginners only!

This time x1000, if you can't provide for your kids with child support coming off a million dollar salary then you are just plain stupid or greedy, especially when people raise their kids with no child support or very little. To contribute to the thread, car dealers can all burn, still waiting for my new (to me) car after 2 weeks because the original one they sold me had a broken transmission. Also had to pay an extra $5k for this one but its in much better shape and much less miles, hopefully this all finishes up for the best!

Grab his car keys, tell him your car has a flat and that you are gonna borrow his car for the night and not worry. He'll get the point

Bought a new (to me) SUV and of course after I pay and take it home I notice Transmission problems! Sales guy assured me it would be replaced due to the warranty it has but I always believe it when it happens. Either way this could be a nightmare or a godsend, gotta wait till Monday
