    I ended up going with the v-steel. Im pretty happy with my purchase so far after a couple hours on ice.

    In illinois some of my fellow officials wear the old gretzky helmet.

    It just looks much nicer/cleaner/top end. Its sort of like how no one wants screened jerseys they all want the sewn on stuff. It just looks cleaner.
