  1. Mostly just the ones I know I should have had. You beat me with a good shot, well done. You beat me by making me scramble, well done. But you shoot it and I miss it badly, that bothers me. Just have to forget and stop the next one.
  2. Not a bad night last night, minus some pretty awful blunders. I'm still quite a bit jet lagged from my trip to Sweden, too. It really shows in the second half where I'm a lot less quick to my feet. In some cases I stay down FAR longer than I should have and it almost cost me. There was another goal against that I'm missing (too much work to dig back through the source footage to find it). Tried to glove a puck along the ice going 5-hole, like a catcher would do. Wrong decision. I'm fairly happy with this, at least compared to the last couple of videos where I was just awful.
  3. First game in the new unis last night, won 9-5. We looked damn good doing it, too. Then, after that game was over I left that rink and booked it across down to another rink to play another game, this time skating out. Only 40 minutes between games, including driving time. Man, that was EXHAUSTING. But fun. We won that game 3-2.
  4. I agree with both of you. If there had been one near here I would have definitely done that.
  5. It ended up being pretty easy. You second guess yourself a lot with the tracings but a couple mm isn't going to matter in all reality. Though I have pretty normal feet aside from the bump on my big toe. I imagine precision and photos would be much more important on people with weird feet.
  6. I wish there was a dealer near me. But my skates came out perfect anyway so no big deal.
  7. Yup it's weird having both big toes touching for once. Also weird having no pain in my big toe where I have a bump.
  8. It almost doesn't matter what you're coming from since these are custom. They will fit any feet and they will be the most comfortable skates you've ever worn.
  9. Photo with my new team after the last game of the season. These are the jerseys we're replacing with the new ones :)
  10. NERD! Just kidding man, that's really damn cool. Well done!
  11. #2 is probably your best option. If you have edge holders, even more so. Make use of them!
  12. Haha I agree, and I guess I can't look too dumb since nobody has ever chirped me for it. But if they ever did I'd just give them the honest answer.. the skates fit so well that they're hard to get on without it :) Besides, after the earlier issues about ripping that area of the liner I'd rather be safe than risk doing it again even if the glue HAS held up since I did it. I don't care what anyone says, these skates are 100% worth any of the minor issues or annoyances we have with them.
  13. Had to do the same, and still find them difficult to get on. I actually starting using a long 36" shoehorn when putting my skates on in the locker room. I look like an idiot but it makes them infinitely easier to put on. I could probably heat them up a bit again and mold out the area that causes the issues getting them on, but with the shoehorn I haven't had much trouble
  14. Put it this way... If I find myself skating out in a league again, I will be buying a pair of player VH skates, no question.
  15. Since I'm not in between seasons, I figured now would be a good time to post my stats so far. I don't know what's wrong with the GAA stat, it's obviously broken. Also missing is my Winter/Spring playoff game, also a loss. (0-3 in playoff games so far... yikes). Overall, there's no question that I'm getting beat a lot more in a division up, which isn't surprising. It's not usually shots beating me, it's often better passing combined with my lack of mobility. That will get better with time, though.
  16. So for me, with my VH being goalie skates I'm not sure it made a difference in skating because I don't do much, but having skates that don't hurt the entire game is pretty nice. As far as my player skates when I switched to makos (not VH obviously, but still) it definitely improved my skating. However again, this is more from not being in pain anymore than anything else. I imagine my experience would be similar in VH instead of Mako.
