2013 Bauer Hockey Catalogue
IPv6Freely replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2013 Product Catalogue Reviews
Is it possible to buy just a set of stock insoles from the nexus 800 skates? Probably not retail, but do you think Bauer would be responsive if I contacted their customer service? -
Call first to make sure they have a replacement pair for you. :)
-
We won last night, which ties the best of 3 series at 1 win each. Championship game is April 7 :)

I would disagree with pretty much all of what somefan is saying.

Well done, SFO! Having a priority line for check-in, the security checkpoint, and even the security line itself! :D
-
That sucks. At least those are fairly routine these days!

Had a work event scheduled thursday in san francisco. Decided to bring my wife with me (she flies free with me) and go a couple days extra. Booked the extra hotel nights, dinner at Oola's (http://www.oola-sf.com/ for anyone interested - amazing food and pretty inexpensive). We even decided to be tourists for a couple days - alcatraz, the aquarium, cable cars, etc. All booked and paid for. Also all non-refundable, including the hotels. Then I get word LAST NIGHT that the event was cancelled. Oh, great... thanks guys. So now the flights and hotel wont be reimbursed, but I have spent too much non-refundable money to just not go. And it was also too late to change the flights to be paid for with points. So we just said screw it... we'll just take it as a vacation, then. While it's only $1000 or so out of pocket that work would have been picking up, it still sucks when you're pretty much forced into it. Oh well, an unplanned mini-vacation is hardly the worst thing to complain about, right? :) Currently at 36000 feet :)

Luckily I'm done with the NJ project. I found somebody to take over who was local :)
-
Very glad I didn't take the trek up to HM, then. I was going to go tomorrow to check them out, but from the sounds of it, it would be a waste of gas. I'll try again in a month or so when they hopefully have some stock again.

Wow, I have never seen an embarrassment to our great game than what I witnessed tonight during ours. You know it's bad when the OTHER TEAM is saying things like "sorry guys, we have no idea either" after the game. Not going into details - it's done and over-with. I'm just venting.
-
Lead architect for one of my customers was let go yesterday! Also, I'm on the flight home from NJ, and I don't have to go back! :D

You shouldn't take photos while driving :P

Makes sense, I've just been lucky I guess (that, or I just go to the counter if i dont like what they gave me). In this case, I was too tired to bother. It's only for 4 days this time (the last two rentals were for two weeks each - so getting a decent car was important to me). The funny thing, is they keep trying to give me free upgrades. With rental cars being typically the lowest model, id rather take a small gutless car than a big gutless car. (ie. I'd take a ford fusion over a ford mustang ANY DAY, if it's going to be the lowest-end Mustang). I always have to go in "please give me something smaller!"
-
DO EEEET! :) Nah... I'm just saying this is easily the oldest rental car I've ever gotten. Usually they cycle out cars every couple years.
-
If they don't pay for first class, they shouldnt be put in the first class line. period. You dont have to agree, that's why this is the venting spot and not the discussion spot. Its the venting spot. I'm venting about being given an awful rental. I get that I seem like I'm whining about stupid things - but they're frustrating at the time :P
-
ooooooooold ;)Just saying, I don't think I've ever had a rental with so many miles on it. I also really hate the way it drives :(
-
Avis gave me a Chevy Impala with like 32k miles on it. What a pile of crap.

New Items being added.

I'm all for them getting to go ahead of others in the same cabin... because they need extra time, didn't bother to leave home early, poor planning, whatever the reason. But the people who pay extra (a LOT extra in this case) shouldn't get stuck behind those people. What they really need are first class lines that are completely separate from everything else. Not just up to the TSA podium, but all the way through security as well. If nothing else, because typically the people in such a line aren't confused about whether they have to take their belt off, or what a 3 oz bottle looks like. Some airports have the "frequent traveller" lines that are supposed to be faster, but end up just getting saturated by the same idiots from the other lines. Whatever. This is the venting thread, you don't have to agree :P

Two actually, and yes small kids. Nope, made my flight just fine. But that's not the point.
-
i guess the mods didn't like the photo of cooke sharpening his skates. Oh well.
-
I shouldn't need to. "I am the person with the first class ticket" should be obvious enough based on FIRST being stamped on the boarding pass :P
-
Not unless they also hold first class boarding passes. Flight attendant? Or TSA? :)
