VH Footwear/TRUE by Scott Van Horne

To much to read through haha -
For those who have done full custom with Bauer. Is it possible to change the boot height? Is it possible to have the boot cut lower? You used to be able to 15 years ago. Could also change the outsole, liner, foams etc.

Having heel pocket issues on my right skate. Any suggestions on how to fix. They already redid the skates -
Anthony was such a great person. I remember my first Summerjam with him. We spoke a long time about gear and where we thought things were going before hitting the ice. My condolences to you and your family.

Are alkali and tron visors the same thing? I’m looking for a small visor. I have a re-akt 65 helmet and the curve visor looks kind of goofy with it. what visor does stutzle use?

Nathan, thank you so much for having us. I absolutely love it. If we wanted to send our blades off to the Markham location, do we just do the process on the website and mail them off?

I don’t care what they say about their fit system. The supreme and vapor lines still fit differently. With the Machs I definitely noticed this

Is the reload holder replacing the xs holder with the dial?

Speedblade XS Holder vs. Edge Holder vs. Powerfly Holder

I notice that the xs holder is stiffer than the edge. I'm trying to justify changing to the xs. I already have a few sets of edge steel. -
Speedblade XS Holder vs. Edge Holder vs. Powerfly Holder
iceman8310 replied to iceman8310's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I did notice a difference in two sets of xs holders i had. One set had a plastic mechanism, and the other set had a metal mechanism. -
What is everyone's experience of the Speedblade XS Holder vs. Edge Holder vs. Powerfly Holder? I've only used the XS and the Edge holder. I haven't used the Powerfly holder yet. My current skates have the edge holder and I'm debating if I should go back to the XS holder. I didn't like how soft the old LS2 holders. Here are my recent skates for reference. I've been using bladetech runners for awhile now and love them.

About Me Height: 6’3” Weight: 240 lbs Shoots: Right Recent Stick History: Bauer Hyperlite, Sherwood EK365, Warrior QRL, Pro Redline Stick Info: Kovalchuk Thrashers Curve, 85 flex Height: Uncut Weight: 375g (apprx) Grip: Yes Grip Material: Basketball Grip Length: 64" Shaft Shape: Super Round Kick Point: Low Usage: 6 months Blade: Pro has been making sticks for a long time. The feel of the blade feels like any top of the line stick out at the moment. I would compare it to the Vapor series from Bauer. Receiving a pass feels fantastic. Shaft/Flex: The 85 Flex feels like most 85s out on the market. I'm able to load up the shaft without any struggle and the release feels great. I would compare this to the Vapor as well. I like to use a lower flex than I should. The shaft feels amazing. The feel is comparable to the ek15 from sherwood. Nice and balanced. Easy to stick handle and shoot with. Stickhandling/receiving passes: I found the positive attributes of the blade also lead to a good, crisp ping when receiving passes. Likewise when stickhandling. The stick feels well balanced and crisp. Shooting: In my opinion this is the best part of this stick. If your primary shot of choice is a snap shot you will find an increase in shot performance versus the other brands on the market. In terms of wrist shots I found it easy to load versus other major brands. I use more wrist and snap shots than slap shots. Weight/Balance: Feels extremely Light. Durability: The stick is holding up well. No issues to report Intangibles: The price is up there as a current model. It is a beautiful stick. I went with an all white option. Conclusion: Geppetto and Pro have done a great job in terms of growing a market for custom sticks. They really have the best value and execution at the moment. They are my go to sticks these days. You can get a fantastic stick that won't break your budget.

is Frontier Hockey/Hejduksport out of business? I'm trying to get a Frontier 8.8 visor and when I look them up it says out of business. The visor was cut a little different than just an aviator.

Tydan blades not fitting into holder

How could someone mess up ordering correct steel for a holder? -
Tydan blades not fitting into holder
iceman8310 replied to iceman8310's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
It lies in the toe. -
I’m having an issue of Tydan blades not fitting into 288 edge holder. There’s a sizable gap between the blades and the holder in the front. I tried other steel and that was fine. The steel says 288XL and the holders are 288

Height - 6'3" Weight - 240 lbs Pad size - 15 inch Level of play: B/C Level Location: Massachusetts Fit - 10/10 I was looking for a pad that wasn’t as bulky as the old reeboks and jofa pads. In the past I’ve used the Supreme One90 shin guard and the Nexus 8000 shin guard. I was looking for a pad that was in between both those fit profiles and the xf pro fit that criteria for me My leg fits properly in the shin channel and does move around a all when strapped I don’t wear shin tape either so these fit my socks very well If you don’t have skinny legs these are the pads for you Protection: 10/10 The XF Pro shin is a tank . The plastic and padding is perfect, for pucks coming straight on. I have taken a few ice pucks (hard shots) straight on and did not feel anything. Durability - 10/10 After about 10 ice sessions there’s no signs of wear and no signs of scratches I love the fit and finish of these pads. Over the next few months I will really put them through their paces Intangibles 10/10 Everything in the XF pro shin pad has been thought out. The improved strapping system has been thought out and add a new level of customization for the player. You are able to move the pads to fit you needs easier then ever Conclusion The XF Pro Shin guard is the ultimate choice for an elite player looking for maximum projection and maximum function. From top to bottom, the XF pro has elite level protection with an abdominal fit to give the player the edge Overall score - 50/50
