  5. This is from the equipment managerof the Jets. Hi Steve. The skates have been outstanding. The players who wear the skates love them. They find improved turning, overall speed, and balance. This is achieved because there is no negative space in the boot. The skates take approx 3-4 skates to get use to. There is no flex in the holders because the outsole is made with real carbon fibre. U will notice this right away feeling the entire blade right away on the ice. Once you get use to them you will probably be a big fan. There not for everyone mind you, I would say 75-80 percent of the guys who try them love them I hope this helps. Jason
  6. have prostock 520 pants now used to have vector 08 pants. which pant would be the closest fit to the vector pants?
  7. Recent pick up for my old man. He was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's, won't let that keep him off the ice. love ya Dad! Brand New CCM 652 custom tacks. Going to put some Tuuk customs on these very soon.
  8. I recommend take pictures of your feet if you can as well.
  9. how are these vs. mako vs. mlx?
  10. try VH skates if you don't lke the mako the mlx skate was sort of a generation 1 of the skate correct. Usually the next product in the life cycle is more polished. has anyone done a comparison between the VH footware skate and the Mako? I know they are differrent but I have heard and read great things about both, I know a few guys that play college hockey and a few that play professional and are using both the VH and the mako. They told me they swamp between the VH and mako. A few used MLX and a few were in eastons before.
  11. would rhino spray or a rubber in a can work to fix this? By spraying it on the toe cap and heel would it create some sort of protection? I don't have experience with this but wondered if it would help.

  15. what about hemsky? I know they may move on him but he's got some skill too. I could see both Perron and Hemsky rotating on the 2nd line if Ales stays.
  16. I think this is good for both teams. I like Paajarvi. Not really sold on Perron.
  17. Got a new car, its a beauty. Love it
  18. i used a pair for 4 days a week over a period of a month so thats 16 skates and 1.5 - 2hours each skate. The lateral stiffness is perfect and other the time period I used them it was fine. As with any skate it will start to break down. I had a pair of top end skates from another company and those only lasted me two months. With the boots now compared how they used to be I believe people are relying to much on stiffness and not enough on foot and ankle strength. Just my two cents. I prefered the MLX skate over the mako though
  19. Well scott worked with MLX so i think the roots would be there
