  1. I went from superfeet back to VH insole and used vapor socks instead of a pair of eastons I was wearing. much better, no pain. from 1-10, what is the pain scale? i don't mind a little.
  2. I have the carbon coated toe cap that most nhl players have and that works fine. I'll re-post my skates
  3. I found for myself when I took out my superfeet and went back to the vh foot bed, it improved the fit and less volume issue.
  4. you won't see a difference. They would look exactly the same. The blockers make them a bit stiffer and a bit less heat moldable.
  5. you can also have shot blockers built into the skates. most of the time taking a shot off the foot only hurts for a second or so then goes away. I agree with dave, these have the most protection in regards to shots and passes
  6. anyone else have a tendon guard issue? the NXG had a number of problems with that tendon guard.
  7. i'm looking to get some shims/lifts and some insoles other than super feet for these skates. I have the old grey hockey super feet. they fit me better than the yellow. can anyone recommend insoles. I have a fairly high arch. grey ones I'm talking about http://www.ourhealthnetwork.com/UserFiles/Image/Superfeet_Grey.jpg
  8. technically they aren't over sized though
  9. where the indents at the aft part of the skate would compress and fold in. I would feel the holder flex a lot more than I wanted with the ls2
  10. I know what you mean now, it look a few strides to get used to at first but worked out fine. reason I went with the speedblade is I liked the epro holder. I had bad luck with edge and ls2 holders. both broke and the towers would compress.
  11. the tongue is like a flex light tongue. I recommend it if you want a more normal skate tongue. it was made by VH though. the sizing matches my reeboks its just less material i believe. my VH footbeds match up to my superfeet from my reeboks. The holders stick off slightly, is that ok? they feel fine skating in them the toes are carbon coated as well. not sure if you guys got that. they are not plastic toe caps
  12. huge holders? they are the same size I have on all my skates. May just look use as they are the speed blades. I'm a 9.5D Reebok which come with 287 e pro holders, and size 10D bauer which comes with ls2 288. They are custom. I did the same size on these, 287 speed blade. No waxed laces, The boots aren't lifted. Do you mean how does it feel with the higher holder? tom kristensen is the man! They are tight, no negative space. instant response
  13. 20140524_201652 Will take better pictures soon. VH felt tongues, carton toe coated, speed blade holder, comfort edge,
  14. 3-4 times a week. For example if I play 2-3 days in a row, after playing that third day the skates feel really soft. The sizing is fine, don't need anything bigger or smaller.
  15. I only got 3.5 months out of my 20ks, will the ribcore or the tacks be any stiffer?
  16. This week will display prompt Ramirentin'Cornerin the subject of ice skates. Today a greater fitted with ice skates and many ice skates will be directly from the factory on their own. Of course, some players use the same luistimia% 2C which can be found in trade, really if you ask somebody what they think is "specifically geared the" ice skates. Corey Hynes talks Jenkkihyökkääjä Elkins is an integral part of this. collided with Elkins ammattilaisuransa kanadalaiseen beginning of Scott Van Horne 2C is the former Canadian speed skater. Originally designed for luistinta pikaluistelijoille improved ice hockey players, and a fundamental principle is the same% 3A runner not correctly centerd in window run channel shoe are formulated according to foot and the blade unit is set to to the point where luistelu% 2C% 2C" is optimized in the center of is not necessarily% 2C as 99% of luistimista. Elkins says% 2C that a return to the old situation no longer be an option, and the difference is same as to try to run first and then lenkkitossuilla lumikengillä. google translator, I like reading as well but the video is better
  17. shouldn't you do that with most skates anyway? helps the boot last longer taking them off the proper way
  18. http://www.tsn.ca/VideoHub/Default.aspx?collection=71&show=306074&section=Sports it was in a few pages back
  19. Anyone have the shot blockers built in yet?
  20. would something like flex seal or rhino or even plastidip work on the surface layers and the toe cap area?
  21. Can we all get back on point and talk about the product and not bash everyone please. The last two pages has just turned into nonsense. Nothing educational. Most of the people on here are adults so why don't we act like it. If you unhappy with a product, bring it up with the manufacturer. Try to find a solution then share your thoughts. How many were happy right away with the LS edge holder? There seems the need to bash anyone trying something new rather than embracing change. Don't bash just for the sake of bashing. Have constructive criticism so we can all learn from your experience. Thanks
  22. $899 with ls2 holders and steel. hope this helps http://www.vhspeedskating.com/hockey/warranty/
  23. if the product is OK for NHL players to use I'm sure its OK for the beer leaguers on this board to use them as well
