  1. how do the new 20k elbows compare to the rbk 9k powered by jofa elbows from 2008/9?
  2. Skate:Bauer Vapor APX 9.5D 10D, I like my skates very tight, Shoe Size: 12D Foot: I have weird type of foot. My foot is wider toward the front and narrow at the heel and ankle. It also gets wide toward the arch Height and Weight: 6'3 225lb Level of Play: B/C level player, high school and juniors experience Previous Pair of Skates: Bauer one95s, CCM 552 & 652 tacks, Bauer X:60s, CCM U+ reloaded, Reebok 9k & 11ks Fit: The fit for me was better in the 9.5 than the 10 as in terms of sizing.I like a tighter fitting skate. The volume in the skate I felt wasn't deep enough. I had some issues with lace bite and wasn't a big fan of the tongues. I usually replace the tongues in my skates with classic supreme felt tongues. I also had some issues with heel slip. The skate felt a little wider toward the aft of the skate and narrower towards the front. (7/10) Holder/Runner: I tend to use the LS2 holder on most of the skates I use. I like the repsonse and feel I get from the ls2. I was a big fan of the tuuk custom+ holder so using the LS2 is an added benefit. I didn't like the fusion runner very much. I felt that the runner would bend and warp under tight and aggressive turns. I use a radius of 40/60 and 25/45 on two different sets of steel. Holder (10/10) Runner (5/10) Durability/Protection: I usually try to skate 3 times a week 2 hours each time adding in 2 games a week. I felt that the skate was much stiffer than other skates on the market. I tend to be a powerful skater so something that won't buckle under pressure I enjoy. I have had skates last me years and some some skates only last me 2 - 3 months. I did have the carbon of the boot start to cut and because less stiff over time. (8/10) Conclusion: The Bauer APX is a great skate in the vapor line. With the APX2 skate coming out shortly the original APX is a fantastic platform to start from. I used the APX skate for about 6 months before passing them on. (8/10)
  3. has anyone changed holders yet? and if so how does the boot respond or feel. I notcied a difference when I went to ls2 from cobra on my old grafs
  4. How much will the ls edge holder and steel cost at retail?
  5. there's like 50 pictures of you on this thing. good setups though nonetheless
  6. Tried on a pair yesterday. All I can say is WOW. They feel like slippers. They feel like my old tacks. One thing i miss about my tacks is they felt like you were more on the balls of your feet when skating. these fel like that. No negative space, just almost perfect.
  7. Skates: Bauer one95 Helmet: ccm v08 hs22 straight visor Elbows: Reebok power by jofa 9k Gloves: Reebok pro stock 852 4-roll Pants: CCM V08 Shins: bauer one90 Sticks: Warrior Widow gionta Easton Mako II Kreps Bauer APX p92 lie 5
  8. Would you say that the mako skate is a generation or an evolution of the mlx skate or the hybrid skate david cruickshank started out with?
  9. A squirt doesn't need to be in a high end skate.
  10. Awesome find!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Do you expect any problems with the first run of the rbz skate like there was with the gen1 of the U+ skate?
  12. you picked up a pro stock kovy but don't know much about the stick? hows that?
  13. what color you looking for?
  14. To me they fit a little like vapor x:60s. They do feel great. I have a pair of U+12s. Nice cuff opening, light, good wrist movement, If you can find a pair of pro stock CLs with the OHL pad I recommend those.
  15. is the rivet pattern closer to the old pro lite 3?
  16. How do they feel compared to kor or mlx?
  17. Can't wait for the E28 curve and looking forward to the mako skate. I want to see how easton improved on the Mlx skate
  18. People that flex the sticks too the braking point then put the stick back. Also when they try on the display skates and leave them on the floor.
