    I'd go from the outside because you will need to keep the heat gun about 8" + away and you will be able to work the area more accurately from the outside. Just remember to keep the gun moving, I use small circles around the area.

    I would agree that it isn't really fair to not communicate that stuff to you, especially when your doing something so custom. But I would suggest trying them first to see how they feel and then you can safely say what needs to change then sending them an email about it and see what they say. I've found there customer service to be pretty good, they do lack in communication some times but seem to be willing to help in anyway possible as I've found when I enouctered an issue with the stock tongue.     Can anyone comment on the fit of the pro 15 pants, I'm kind of in between sizes and wondering if they fit true to size?

    Do you have a pic of the new tongue? I've had a bit of the same issue but found moving the tongue up higher helped by creating more space in the toe cap and I didn't tie them as tight and it helped but created a little to much play in the boot. I'm gonna try them a little tighter but if the problem continues I'm thinking about emailing them about a new tongue and very interested in this thiner one.

    I can definitely attest to the comfort of these, I've been on them 3 times and no pain in any of my previous areas in other skates. I have noticed some performance increases with these but still to new to really give info. I would recommend going with the LS2 holder and the Step Steel for that reason of getting Step Steel quality, also the edge holder didn't have any relevance for me as I've never broken steel and I live close to my sharpener. I didn't include any upgrades such as the added shot blocker or upgraded tongue to the boot when I ordered mine based on info given to me by the person that did my tracings, so far I'm glad I didn't as the boot is right up there in construction with any top of the line retail skate. That brings me to another point, if your somewhat hesitant about spending that kind of money on something you've never seen before you can check VHs website for a fit center near you and go check the skate out first and have your tracings done there if that's another area your unsure about. But definitely read through this thread and take it for what is worth, a lot of great info!!

    http://i.imgur.com/caxRbcm.jpg Just got them home after the bake!! First impressions- AMAZING!! Went very simple on the boot, no extras and clarino liner. Every thing I was hopping for outta the box so far. First skate tomorrow!!

    Has anyone here had an issue with there foam deforming during the molding process? Just wondering how common this as my skates hopfully will be ready soon and don't wanna screw them up.

    As long as you don't have extra long shin pads it shouldn't interfere with your forward flex atleast from what I've noticed mind you I've never flopped my tongue FWIW I'm going to get fitted this week in vh in Toronto as I don't wanna risk messing up my own tracing and spending this kind of money but the place I'm going has demo skates there try before you buy. I don't know if the one in Vancouver has that as well but maybe worth the drive if you have any concerns so maybe give them a call and see

    How did you find your shots to be in regards to release and power of them with the switch, mainly your wrister? Just curious as I use a nexus and ponder switching to a vapor

    Just wondering as a nexus skate user what's the benefit of the eyelet extension? As well how do find the heel lifts? I was thinking about adding some to mine for a little more pitch.

    Not as far as custom skates, but I have bought skates and pro pants from them. When I bought my skates( Bauer 1 100), they were great with sizing me up and looking after me, and they have a really knowledgeable staff. Plus Doug gillmour shops there lol.
