  1. Thanks for the response. So PH’s 30 day policy is always in the form of store credit correct?
  2. Wanted to get some clarity on the satisfaction guarantee program. So today I went to get my skates sharpened at Pure Hockey and I was curious in checking out if they had some of the Bauer Supremes on sale. One thing led to another and I ended up trying on the Tacks 9090 and really loved the fit. The 30 day satisfaction guarantee was a deal closer as I’ve never really had any success with CCM skates. Unfortunately I had my kids with me and they were really growing tired of me trying on skates for 30-40 mins so I couldn’t get them sharpened and baked. I ended up going back at the end of the day to start the baking process but I just wanted to confirm the satisfaction policy and I was told that I would only get store credit if I didn’t like the skate. I returned them since I didn’t want to risk not liking them and then being bound to store credit at Pure Hockey since I don’t use them for much more than sharpening otherwise. Their website doesn’t really elaborate on the guarantee but it seems like IW and HockeyMonkey will issue a full refund even if used with no questions asked if it’s within the return period. Does anyone know if the guarantee varies dealer by dealer or is the explanation I got at Pure Hockey in fact how it works?
  3. Tell you the truth I like the Zucc APX better than the One95. I've liked the T1 and NXG build pro stocks I've had better than the One95. But I like the APX builds better than the Supremes. The Duclair quickly became my favorite as the blade is a P92 with a sandpaper finish like the retail Mako/Mako II.
  4. I had the same issue on my left leg. Bought a bunga pad and no problems since.

  7. Dipped my toe into the pro stock pool and found myself swimming: All X:60s, NYR, Leafs, 3rd Preds, Flyers and Sharks
  8. It may have new mentionss before but with the 1X they're transitioning away from the Intellisense flex point profile?
  9. Question for those that have worn Bunga pads, do they go on the outside or inside of your sock?
  10. Will there be a separate topic opened for the Vapor X1 sticks or are they going to get discussed in the 2015 catalogue post?
  11. Flyers team stock X:60s, 14"-1, digital palms
  12. Got em baked over the weekend, yeah they felt like they would melt down to a puddle or they'd get deformed. Haven't had a chance to skate in them yet but I'm very anxious.
  13. Just got my Makos today from Hockey Monkey (yay Black Friday sale!). Very psyched to get them baked and then got on the ice with them, unfortunately I might have to wait until Christmas to do so :( I'm coming from Vapor X7.0s, I've been a loyal Bauer user from when I was younger and stuck with them after my dozen year hiatus from playing from my late teens through my early 30s. I've always had issues with having a very thin foot with a narrow heel and ankles. Retail skates have just never fit right, so I read a ton about the Makos and talk with a few guys at pick up games that have them and decided to take the plunge when the hit the clearance rack. I was very pleased with the Mako offerings in protective equipment, I own a pair of M5 shins and I was a big fan of their Mako II sticks. I have a good feeling that the skates are going to be another piece of gear that will make me feel that I've gotten my money's worth. I'm very excited these have a fuller tongue, the thin tongue on the X7.0s never made me feel like my foot was in the skate completely right. One of the common reviews of the Makos I read was that they feel a lot more flexible than other skates of similar caliber, but they are stiff in the right places, does that seem to be the consensus for those that have used them?

  15. Not a Warrior guy, but if Bauer had gone on sale on Amazon like Warrior did you better believe my collection would look like that.
  16. Made some trades, sales and pick ups with my stick selection. Very satisfied in the end:
  17. Original APX, 77 flex, P92 clone.
  18. My APX2 pro stock family
  19. Crest is stitched, fleur de lis are screened. They're like early/mid 90s CCM replica style jerseys.
  20. Budgetary constraints forced me to go eBay route. I think I spent about $85 combined on mine. Rather save the $ for the new gear anyways :)Thanks for the link though, that's a proverbial candy store.
  21. It was quite hard getting those things off eBay that didn't already have a name number on the back.
  22. Decided that Bauer APX mitts going on sale meant I had a chance to match my teams unis:
