  1. It should run you about $150-200 per wheel for a good job. Powder coating is the way to go. Much more durable finish so the wheels wont chip like painted ones do. You can go either flat or gloss black, its up to you.
  2. Too much of a hook to be a Parrish, unless he's changed it lately.
  3. In related news, Alabama gets running water
  4. You could scoop up a Carrera GT and a GT3 for $400k if you do so searching. Or.... F430 Scuderia + R8 V10 599GTB + GT3RS GT2 + M3 + Exige Viper ACR, 'Vette ZR1, GT-R, + A Daily Driver (M5, CTS-V, etc.) etc. etc. etc.
  5. Hence the reason why I put "For the right price" $400k for this thing is a joke, simply put. So many options out there for that kind of money.
  6. Wouldn't be caught dead in a Toyota for that kind of money. The stable is pretty much set, unless of course an F40 can be had for the 'right' price...
  7. Its too hard to choose one, they're all pretty great cars. All my cars have been pretty heavily modified, but the stock E92 platform is probably my favorite so far.
  8. Beating the living hell out of it. Took a dip into a wonderful NYC pothole which swallowed up the VRS lip, so the front end is back to stock. Stock 19's have been replaced with HRE Monoblok's and a Brembo BBK. Other than that, nothing has changed on the exterior. The interior is stock except for the alcantara BMW Performance steering wheel with digital readout If weather permits, i'll have some new pics this weekend.
  9. Didnt know so many people were following me. Word to Twitter. Here's another one for ya'. Hurry up Vorsteiner. <_<
  10. Tinted and rims painted. Still waiting on a BUNCH of other stuff. <_<
  11. Lkpt, do you have a Costco membership, or know someone who does? I've heard from quite a few people that they have gotten cars through them for barely over invoice. Seems like a good way to go if you dont like, or know how, to haggle.
  12. All I see is Alpine White around here. I was going to do black on black again, but everyone has done it now. I wanted a red CLK63 Black Series, but not for ~90-100k, so I settled for the M3. Going to do the Vorsteiner front lip, rear diffuser, lowered on black powdercoated OEM 19's, and an Akrapovic Titanium exhaust. That should be enough for the car. Mocked it up on Photoshop already:
  13. $14k opens up a whole lot more options than say $10k. You should be able to get an 06 Civic SI with around 40k on the clock in the $14k range pretty easily. Perhaps that is an option? Seems like everybody has one, but they are pretty good cars. You could also get a nice G35 Coupe/Sedan or a 350z with decent mileage. There are a TON out there...
  14. With $10k, i would stay away from the E46, unless they have super low mileage and are in immaculate condition. I highly doubt that's possible in that price range, though.
  15. Pulled the trigger today. Went for something different with the Melbourne Red. Mods coming soon enough. Black wheels, a must. :)
  16. Im leaning towards to CLK, but not at the price(s) they are going for. Plus I want a red one, and they command a pretty hefty premium. I'm even entertaining the idea of grabbing a Lexus IS-F. They're looking pretty attractive in the mid 40k range. Wouldn't mind a blue one slammed on HRE's. Never had an E9x M3, but I did think about getting one. Ended up going with a 335i with the idea of making massive power, but due to the lack of an LSD, that was ruled out. Only ended up keeping it for a couple of weeks, if that. I loved everything about my previous M5 but it was simply a little too big. It does a great job feeling smaller than it is, but was not as nimble as I'd prefer. I haven't driven the CLK, but I do have a decent amount of experience with the 6.3 motor as my dad has an S63. Granted thats getting into the whole "big body" car thing, i do know how much power it is capable of. And it does have quite a bit more to be extracted :)
  17. Still haven't decided on a suitable replacement. I've ruled out the Maserati GranTurismo, so now its down to an E90/E92 M3 and the CLK63 BlackSeries. I'm just trying to find the right car for the amount I'm willing to spend.
  18. I wish. The father of a pretty good friend of mine owns a Macca F1 along with an Enzo, F50, F40 and some others. He had it repainted white, added the LM downforce kit and black wheels. It is the ultimate as far as im concerned. However the $1.6million + market on them is not in the favor of most. GT3RS was an option for sure, but this was a deal nobody could pass up. It ended costing a decent amount less than the market price(s) on pretty significantly used RS
  19. But that is all this car has to do for me. Withstand some spirited driving on the highways and on back roads throughout town while getting to the places i need to be. Hardly a place to push a car of its stature to the limits. I just dont have time to be the weekend track junkie. But even if I did, i would not be tracking an M3 or RS4 anyways. I'd be in something super lightweight. Either an Exige or Ariel Atom would work pretty well, i'd say. If desired, I also have access to one the best cars ever built(IMO of course) sitting in the garage. That being the Challenge Stradale you can see lurking in the picture above. Theres also another pretty special vehicle enroute to our collection aswell. Think Orange.
  20. Importing an R34 is not worth my time or money. Not a knock on the car, but its just too much of a hassle to do. Compared to the E46 M3, the RS4 is better all around, IMO. I've always felt the E46 was underpowered. Thanks to the torque, or lack of from the S54, you really have to get in and rev it up to get it going. Im actually surprised at the low end in the RS4, coming from a modded M5. I expected more of a letdown, but i think the gearing is quite optimized in the RS4. The RS4's ride in certainly more harsh than any stock M3/M5 i've driven. The quattro system in it is great, but i'll always prefer RWD. Other than that, I dont have enough seat time in the Audi to comment on. It actually belongs to one of my dads friends. Its an orange '69. Other than that, i dont know much about it. He just needed a garage and we have some extra room.
