San Jose Sharks (P2) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (P3)
Kgbeast replied to IPv6Freely's topic in First Round
That call was a shit. That said, if you can not keep 5m to at least a goal or two, you should not be in second round By the way, I thought that Sharks were quite bad in the series and Vegas was better than let them hang around for more than 5 games. -

Game 7 was probably the worst game of these playoffs. It was like watching one of them late September games... Until the last 5 minutes penalty. Then it became a true game 7. I wonder how many people have already left the game after throwing some shit on ice... They missed some ending. Unfortunately, the crappier of the night team won this time. But hey, Sharks made it to game 7 OT, so let's see if this was a fluke or they actually can step up. -
Boston Bruins (A2) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (A3)

Game was actually pretty intense and both teams came out to play. Leafs just could not get it done. I think Freddy was not on top of his game to bail a rather non playoff D, but forwards really tried. -

Well, at least the big three got about a point a piece for the 2019 playoffs, I guess it could have been worse. -

I always thought that Sully is a fixture coach. If they drop the series in 4, he probably should move on. -

It was sad watching the fans leaving the arena after 3rd goal... Pens and their fans are eating humble pie now... Could be too late with something like 400:1 against them winning the series after today. -

Pens 2:1 down going into third period... Who is delivering motivational speech? -

Unfortunately for CBJ, TBL are rehashing their lines for tonight... Might even go with other goalie. Mostly because Kutch is suspended. Looks like they also going to shelf Hedman and use a fresh of IR Strolman. All the changes can obviously spell a tough night for Columbus. TBL finally acknowledge that the 2-0 hole is not of their own doing, but effectiveness of Columbus against them. This mindset can further the tonights scale to their side. -

Doubt Bruins will see Kadri until next season. What a game, what an officiating.... -

Sounds dead on... As soon as they win four that is. -

Did Pens really just rolled over or Islanders are actually playing some impressive hockey? Playing responsible and structured hockey us not overachieving. Trotz is showing here that an ok team + structure can win against what-baby-wants-baby-gets team. Not saying that Pens are done by any means, but they need start grinding if they want to see past this series. -
Perhaps it should be "goaltending is not the only factor"... You have to have great goaltending, but that alone is not going to get it done. You need to have great goaltending and great "chemistry" between players on at least 3 lines and 2 defensive pairings. If the above is closely matched between two opponents, skill level of individual players (goalies included) becomes a factor. And of course a bit of "puck-luck". As someone before said, it is about balance. No one good part of the game will win the cup, but one bad part will certainly loose it. Perhaps what Chippa was saying is that the teams are matched pretty close in ability to win the games, but goaltending has been on the Pens side in that one game and if that changed, Pens will be ending the season sooner this year. However, Holtz has better chance on falling behind comparing the two years of performance between the two goalies.

2018 Olympics Men's Hockey Schedule
Kgbeast replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2018 Olympic Ice Hockey
Well, Datsyuk got his well deserved Olympic gold, I suppose the only accolade he was missing. He can now retire a fully accomplished hockey legend. I feel however that Canada got cheated out of the gold finals with one-sided calls. If any team, Canada was the one who should have faced OAR for the gold. -
2018 Olympics Women's Hockey Schedule

Watched Russia playing Canada and USA... Russia is so outmatched that it is sad. They register about a dozen of shots per game with only one or two real chances, the rest were fired from blue line or were clearing attempts that happen to slide all the way to goalie. At that they also spend a lot of time in the box. Goalies though are very good. On the other note, USA team is very good and should have a real chance at Gold against Canada. -
Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener
Kgbeast replied to tamtamg's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Since the edge runner locking mechanism has a impact of the trigger mechanism on the runner, I would say that with each clicking of the runners in the holder a small amount of damage is done to the mechanism. I believe the mechanism is there for fast runner replacement in rear occasions when a damage is done to the runner as apposed to pull the blades out after every skate. Although it is just my understanding. -
They are trying to produce more product than before, but that is what businesses have to do as the demand for their product grows... It is just they need to figure out how to do that without sending out deflective product. Perhaps they do not even have QC yet, but just need to institute one.

Have you tried swapping left and right blades? Have you compared the two tydan blades see if there is a difference between the two?

. I think it is the same thing as sending out skates with glue marks, spliced stitching, "end of the roll" fiber look... Basically, they fill that they can peddle shit and consumers will gobble it because of the performance benefits, brand recognition, and the mere fact, that most active players would rather wear that than go back to old skates while the replacement is being made. I would have given them benefit of a doubt, but it seems like a trend - the busier they get the more selective they become in who is getting quality product and who is getting "hey.. he'll live". We all have seeing the posts with excellent quality skates, packed in fancy boxed with magnetic flop and certificate. We also have seeing posts with subpar cosmetics delivered in a brown box. They definitely need to clean this up and make it more consistent.

..especially since these are hand made, how is that the guy who hand made this was not like "hey.. this looks like shite, let me redo that". It is like a guy who makes custom hand made furniture would be like "fuck it, chair still has four legs..." kind of thing. The VH guy on he forum here made it quite clear several times that performance of the skate is first and aesthetics are not of importance, but this and throwing in an unusably short laces is just luck of any pride in the product. Looks like a serious pep talk is in order there.

Problem with sloppy fit is that every stride the steel bangs the plastic parts inside the holder and wears them out at a progressively higher rate. It is like a bad ball joint in the suspension, once it starts clicking, it just getting worse and worse and eventually falls apart

Middle holes on the front are there, just not used with screws... At least on my early 2000 704s

Yes it will. On PeakSpeed skates, cobra holders are mounted with rivets from factory.

Chara, from what I gather, wears size 11.6 skates. So that chap in the pick definitely has one on Chara... Size 15 skates, size 17 say in shoes.... Baby feet comparing to Shaq's 22. Good think he s not skating, that would have been a weird looking skate fo sure :).

Plus you are not exceptional, you are more likely to pick up a few chirps on the way...

Doubtful Bauer would agree that it is the holder issue since the LS4 steel fits right and snug.
