The new process is fantastic. Nothing but solid feedback from everyone regarding it. In fact, we now do this same process for ALL skates at our store. -

Interesting. This can't be used for USA Hockey and such I assume? -
You can go full custom with them but no 3D scan.... yet.

I spoke with a CCM rep and was told they are still honoring the 90-day guarantee for the FT1... not sure why HM would say otherwise. If anything, Pure Hockey offers 30-day return policy on their skates regardless if they are used so that would offer a decent peace of mind.

Ha. Guess I opened myself up for that one, didn't I? 😉 -
As far as I am aware the 90 day guarantee still applies to the FT1. I will double check tomorrow with CCM as well.

Yeah. Killer deal. I think you'll love them!

The price has dropped significantly on Pure Hockey and Hockey Monkey. Below cost.

How many people are buying new skates every two years though? Most players I know who wear TRUE skates specifically buy the brand because they know the skates are built to last. The durability of their skate has been tested and proven at all levels of hockey. -

I don't know if I would consider that ironic. The dark clarino TRUE liners are VERY nice and don't absorb as much moisture and they also dry out very fast too. I absolutely consider them to be top notch! From an overall technology perspective they are much more advanced than the tan clarino. -

There is always going to be new stuff released and such. Technology is fairly progressive. -
Any feedback on longer radii ( >= 11’ )?
VegasHockey replied to flip12's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I tried a 13' and I felt like I had a pair of snowboards attached to my feet. I also felt like every stride incredibly long and my legs were literally on fire after skating drop-in. -

TRUE has a snug fit liner they are testing but is not available to the public as of yet. Stay tuned. In the meantime, if you know the right people and ask nicely you can still get the tan clarino. I got them to hook you up 😉 -
I have been considering trying out a 9/10 with a 2-inch flat or a 10/11 with a 2-inch flat center on my Flare steel. Has anyone used such profiles on their steel, doesn't need to be Flare specifically? I used to skate on a CAG profile before switching to a multi-radius ProSharp profile, but with the Flare steel, I find the triple/quad profiles don't have the same advantages. I think there would be significant benefits to having such a large sweet spot considering I skate on a 1.5" ROH with ZC.

The FT2 fits closer to the OG JetSpeed. The FT1 and FT490 are a little more snug.

Fix for "booting" or "bottoming" out?
VegasHockey replied to JONES199's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Yes, that's correct. The rest is usually Bauer customs, which we don't sell currently. Could also be Graf. For those options I refer customers up north to Vancouver Canada. Since I don't sell them I have no way of knowing if the customer completes the transaction so I just consider those sales as "other". -

The grey clarino doesn't soak up as much moisture and is noticeably thicker than the tan liner. This is why when you see most of TRUE skates being used by professionals they almost always have the tan liners. It provides much better grip locking the foot into place. I usually don't recommend the fabric liner. While it does promote good foot lock and does a great job wicking away moisture, the skates become very heavy and take a long time to dry out fully. It's also not as durable. -

For people that sweat a lot and want a really snug fit it's always best to go with the tan clarino option that they have. -

If I may ask, where did you go? My stores are located on the west coast and we do a ton of skates. I hope it wasn't Pure Hockey.....
