  1. I do blend it all the way. I just eliminate the pitch. If you profile using the following technique (see video below) it will apply the full profile but not add the pitch:
  2. Where are you located? I have a pair of AS3 Pro skates that I ordered for myself but they are too stiff so I am likely going to sell them. If you want to use them for a test fit I would be happy to let you give them a go. They are a 7.5D
  3. Unless the player specifically asks me for an aggressive forward lean I always profile neutral or add a minimal pitch. I also dont like grinding down the whole front of the blade on a Q0 or a Zuperior.
  4. Those are just brass eyelets. https://blademaster.com/web/en/2606-eyelets
  5. Good thought. I know a few people. I'll reach out.
  6. Stores that have a very solid relationship with Bauer or CCM will likely be hesitant to carry them. For example, Pure Hockey only sells the TF9 and custom skate. They will not carry or sell the TF7. No store in AZ or WA has either model in stock. While I think the skate is amazing the fact is Bauer and CCM rule the market and TRUE is going to struggle to get big box stores to sell these skates as it will cannibalize sales of your there Bauer and CCM skates. Think of how hard it was for Tesla to "flip the script" in the automotive industry for a good example of how hard it is for a new brand to enter a market and disrupt it no matter how great the product is.
  7. It actually doesn't feel dry though. The product you mention seems to work for leather, synthetic leather, and vinyl so that might be a good option to test.
  8. Such as? I think at this point moisture wiking is likely not working. The surface of the clarino is matte and no longer shiny.
  9. Need to renew the clarino liners on a pair of skates. Not sure what could be used to seal the clarino or rejuvenate the liner. I have tried beeswax and leather conditioner but neither lasted longer than a single ice session.

  11. Not sure of the material, could be nylon. It's hard for me to tell if they changed the dial and screw on specific skate models or specific skates manufactured after a certain time period. We just got a shipment in of 9380 and 9370 and all of them had the new dial and screw assembly. We got our shipment of AS3 Pro and AS3 skates in May and haven't gotten any more since then. The older 9380 and 9370 skates we got in our previous shipment had the first generation screw drive assembly.
  12. What skates is she currently wearing and what size? What size TRUE skates did you get? I find the TRUE skates seem to fit very close to the Supreme in terms of volume.
  13. They were fairly advanced skates. I remember the advertising talking about how they weighed less than 800 grams and had the Lightspeed 2 Power holder which was supposed to be ultra-stiff. I skate with a lot of guys who still wear and love those skates. The players I know that did finally transition to modern skates almost always adopted the Ribcor 70k/80k but always lamented the One90.
  14. I noticed some of the newer CCM skates we are getting in stock have a slightly modified XS holder. The screw assembly is now black and seems to be plastic and the dial piece also has larger ribs on it.
  15. CA is delaying tryouts until October As a result of recent updates with respect to governmental restrictions on youth sports activities, CAHA is pushing the CAHA permitted tryout calendar for on-ice tryouts as follows; - Tier 1 not earlier than 10/1 - Tier 2 not earlier than 10/5 - A / BB / B / HS not earlier than 10/8 WA is moving forward with tryouts but I don't understand how they think they will be having a season until January considering they are only in Phase II currently and Phase II and III are extremely restrictive. There will not be any normal practices and games until Phase IV. Even the WHL has pushed their season start date to December and I am hearing they are now discussing January as a potential start date. Arizona things seem normal, same with Nevada. I am not into politics, but it does seem red states are moving along and will likely have a somewhat normal season while blue states will be delayed.
  16. You saying Bobby Ryan wasn't a great brand ambassador? 😛
  17. Will it also have valyrian steel?
  18. Yes, sizing is pretty similar. If you are a 6.0D Supreme then you should go with the same with TRUE. No difference in TRUE between junior and senior skates.
  19. The change in kick point makes the AS2 Pro feel stiffer as compared to the Ribcor and Jetspeed models. For example, if you compared a 75 flex in both the AS2 Pro would feel more rigid. Both have stiff blades but the AS2 Pro is stiffer. The dampening of the Jetspeed provides a little more feedback as the AS2 is very pingy.
  20. Did you find that sizing seems to be different than previous generations? For example, the shoulder pads and elbows seem to run smaller than previous generations. I think the shins and pants fit the same.
  21. Yeah. I've never heard of a car dealership allowing you to return a car because you decided you didn't like it after purchase....
  22. I was referring to the fit. If they fit poorly why would you even wear them on the ice? If they fit properly anything else can be changed or modified to "work" through profiling, tower swap, steel changes, and such. If the skate doesn't fit properly then nothing else will matter. Also, according to the Pure Hockey website they allow 30 day returns on skates no matter if they are sharpened or even used. Kinda crazy.
  23. The previous generations may start with a one-piece frame but there are layers added to it. The new AS3 Pro "seems" to in fact be one-piece but I won't know until we start seeing the first ones start to break down or fail so I can tear the skate down and look at it more in depth. Note: I am not saying the AS3 Pro is by any means a poorly made skate, just that with it being popular we will eventually see some come back under warranty returns, satisfaction guarantee, or due to defects. The TRUE boot and Bauer Ultrasonic are not even remotely close in design. The TRUE heritage is more closely related to the MLX and MAKO, if anything.
  24. The fit was good, boot had great thermoformability, one-piece, and its design allowed for a good range of motion.
