  1. It's a mess. Only about 40% of the holes line up. I just swapped a pair of Tuuk Edge holders for a customer. I'll snap and share some pics.
  2. Probably a 7W.
  3. The good news is IW has them and they also have a ton of AX9 sticks too which I think can be combined for the sale. https://www.icewarehouse.com/searchresults.html#search=products&searchtext=true pro stock&opt_page=1&opt_sort=alphaAtoZ&opt_perpage=20
  4. AS1 and AS2 Pro are very similar.
  5. Im not sure. I asked a buddy who works for Pure and he said the staff was not made aware of the True rebate program. He also mentioned Pure is not going to carry the TF7. I assume that is to prevent talking away from Bauer sales.
  6. I diont think Sparx has the capital to build and support two seperate units. I imagine they will streamline to a single model and sell off the older model inventory at a slight discount.
  7. I agree. The cost of the unit and wheels is more but the cost per sharpening skates is less. I think it all depends on how much volume you're gonna do. I'd you're doing 1-3 skates a week the Sparx is better. If you're doing 10+ skates a week the ProSharp is likely better.
  8. I bring my portable prosharp to the rink for every game and sharpen everyone's skates on my team. My SUV has a 12V outlet. Each guy kicks me down 2 bucks and I use that for our team beer money after the game.
  9. @mojo122 or someone else will have to confirm. We dont have any intermediate Ultrasonics in stock at this time and will likely not be getting any as its too costly of a skate to stock and I would personally rather push a player to CCM or TRUE at that price. Yes, as you can probably guess. I am partial to CCM and TRUE over Bauer for skates. The CCM 90-day satisfaction guarantee has been a huge benefit to many customers looking to buy a top end skate.
  10. I think in that size range they dropped the full composite outsole.
  11. The ProSharp home is smaller than that even. No reason why they cannot make the Sparx smaller as well.
  12. I'll have to check where I got mine from. I got the specs from a machine shop who took the a spring from a new unit and told me the spring rates and specifics.
  13. I've swapped out the spring in units for friends. It's not hard. Sparx does not recommend such.
  14. 8W is likely a good fit for you.
  15. This is correct, you should divide the length by width and that result can help guid you in a decision. You would be slightly less wide than myself so you could likely fit in a standard width.
  16. Their assesment was in fact correct. It put me in a 7.5W TF9.
  17. https://www.true-hockey.com/media/2020_TRUE_Catalog.pdf Page 29.
  18. Based on my TRUE scan which shows I am the following: Right Foot Width: 102 mm Length: 266.3 mm Left Foot Width: 99.7 mm Length: 261.9 mm TRUE said I should consider a wide skate in the TF7/TF9.
  19. What model are you needing and for what size skate? We have a ton of them.
  20. TRUE is doing the instant rebate program, details are as follows: Instant Rebate Program Save $250 when you spend $800+ Save $150 when you spend $500-$799.99 Save $50 when you spend $200-$499.99 *Excludes custom skates
  21. Youre focusing too much on semantics.....
  22. I didnt say quarter materials is what allows TRUE skates to be baked multiple times. The general consensus from the store owner community is Bauer skates should not be baled more than 3 times. After that the resins and epoxies start to break down and lead to premature breakdown. We had a customer who baked his Vapor skates 4 times in 60 days (he did it at home) and Bauer refused warranty based on this information. Our CCM FAST rep recommends no more than 4 bakes in general, but said newer CCM skates such as the FT2 and AS3 Pro can be baked about 6 times before premature breakdown.
  23. I think some type of chest/shoulder protection should be worn. However I think it might be overkill to rock a pair of FT1 or 2S Pro shoulder pads for pick-up/drop-in unless you are skating with a bunch of morons taking clappers from 4 ft away at chest height.
  24. I think it depends on the level of hockey you are playing. I prefer mobility and a lightweight shoulder pads over protection.
