    Agreed. At the time tapered blades were damn hard to find. I thought it was going the way of the Betamax or Laserdisc.

    I remember Mission had a 3 finger retail glove a few years ago.

    It wasn't really a bust but more of a gimmick that didn't take off...the blue rubber on the blades of Hespeler composite sticks. It's purpose was supposed to be the same as the si-core.

    When I went on Friday, most of the S17s and Synergy SEs that were being brought out were retail patterns (Lidstrom, Sakic, Forsberg).

    That's a lot of gloves for someone with only 2 hands (I hope).

    When I saw the S16s in the catalog, I was looking forward to buying a pair until I saw them in person. No plastic inserts in the hand and lock thumb (unlike the pro stock pair that I saw a few months ago). A little disappointed for the top 'traditional' style glove in the line. But the S17 is a nice fitting glove with good protection. Just my opinion.
