  1. Thank you very much kerr. That's exactly what I wanted/needed. I'm a bit surprised by the lie though. I could of sworn that their Kovalev and Pro Zetterberg (ZP) patterns were listed with different lies, with the Pro Zetterberg being the lower one. I know the Kovalev pattern has the same lie as the Drury, but didn't expect the ZP to as well. I always have such a hard time gauging Warriors' patterns without seeing them in person, since the listed lies don't necessarily match up with their equivalents in other brands. All that said, I think I'll be ordering a custom ZP if I can't get my hands on any more Kessel pro stocks.
  2. Does anyone have side-by-side comparisons of the Pro Zetterberg and a retail Drury/Kovalev/P91/etc.? I've seen the pic of the Pro Zetterberg earlier in this thread, but it was hard to get a read of how it compares to the retail heel wedges. I've been playing with a Kessel pro stock, and have come to enjoy the lower lie (sub 5.5). My normal, go-to curve is the Drury (and it's equivalents), so I'm looking into ordering a stick with this pattern in mind, but just want to see how different, even if only slightly, the blade differs in both curve and lie with it's similar retail offering. Thanks for any pictorial help.
  3. Quick question. Hopefully it wasn't already answered. The Zetterberg pro pattern is listed as a 4 lie. If I'm correct, based on the way Warrior works, would this equate to an Easton 5 lie? Secondly, is there any rocker to it that would make it play as a different lie than what is stated? I ask, because I'm addicted to all things Drury, and this program has got me curious to try something different, yet the same. Thanks.
  4. If you watch video replay, and see the angle from behind OV, his shoulder and leg are in perfect line with one another. OV goes in straight (l), while Gleason leans (/), and as a result OV's shoulder and upper body hit nothing and continue moving forward, while his lower body bowls into Gleason. It wasn't an intentional knee, just the result of one going for a hit and another trying to dodge it. Some times you can't dodge the whole thing, and lower bodies collide.
  5. I don't see Burke getting rid of Wilson, or at least not until after the Olympic break. Would make for some team awkwardness to fire your coach when you have to work together for the Olympics. In Wilson's defence, his team is playing like shit in front of him. Dumb, needless penalties, brutal penalty killing, no offensive talent, a band-aid rookie goalie, and another who's playing himself straight out of the NHL. What do you expect Wilson to do? He can't exactly turn water into wine. I don't think there really is a coach out there that would show any significant improvement to this team over Wilson. Toronto is still in rebuild mode. Expecting them to contend with the upper echelon of teams in the league so soon is ignorant on your part.
  6. I'm sure this same scenario has happened countless times with rookies, and the only reason it's being made into such a big deal is because Perron used to be a member on this forum. I'm not raining on his parade. I enjoyed watching him for Lewiston. In all seriousness, other threads, hundred pages long, haven't been created for every other rookie who's come into the league and been bounced around. Why should this case be any different? Only a handful of people here have met and know him, and they're the ones who should be showing the most grief over this, but they're not. This thread does not need every bandwagonner, who feel they hold some special connection with the player while never meeting him, posting over how a player is getting bounced around in his first year.
  7. usually right handed shooters are left handed, and vice versa.
  8. Lee, i can see those pics were taking at the Dal arena. What league is that? OR is it like dorm vs. dorm or something like that? It was the residence charity game between Risley Hall and Howe Hall. We (Howe) won 6-1. Was a great game. Tons of open ice hits, and you couldn't hear yourself think from the noise of the fans.
  9. Here's a couple of me from this year. 10. I went and watched a couple playoff games when he (Perron) was in Halifax. Their last game, in which they eliminated Halifax, he put on a clinic. 5 pts. Seemed everything he touched turned to gold. It's surprising how he came from no wheres and sky rocketed into the Q, then to the top of the rookie scoring, and now into the draft.
  11. to work in the 'protection' concept, why not go with a simple shield design, with his name branded across it. simple idea that can elaborated if needed.
  12. i'm pretty sure i was at this game...bay ducks and sackville, correct? preseason, went into OT, couple people thrown out? Yep. It was on September 11th. ahh. thought so. i tried out for varsity dal, but after making through the walk on tryouts, i opted not to go to the camp because i didn't feel i was quite ready, so the coach told me to go to sackville jr b...only problem is i've got no way there. kind of a kick in the junk That sucks. Were you playing? or just watching? i was watching with a couple buddies who play on the wolverines

  15. I can't agree when so many people have never had that problem before using Vectors. It's a very common problem with the top couple models, but not with many other brands. Lace bite is just not common with Vectors here. Never had any customer complain of lace bite on a Vector, any Vector, and I sell lots of them. Compared to a high end Bauer, the toungue is much better and does not break down as fast. I don't see what the problem is. Even my partner at the shop got lace bite from them and he has been playing for 20+ years and never had the problem before. I never had the problem with any skate but I see a lot of people with that problem. 90% of the time it's a 6.0 or higher Vector, the rest of the time it's a Graf. i only ever got lace bite when using skates with plastic inserts in the tongue, or ones with very stiff tongues in general. never had a problem with grafs though.
