  1. most likely 'fatigued', for lack of a better ,from not moving... its stationary so it will lose some of the flexibility over time while in the cast. it's kind of like trying to move after laying around on your ass all day... everything starts to feel a little creaky from not moving and using it... today, my knee on my broken leg was killing me. between the weight of the cast and the inability to put weight, and thus some pressure on the knee is starting to make it feel uncomfortable. I get my stitched out tuesday and am supposed to be able to do some exercises and move my foot around a bit. I'm looking forward to that. also looking like i'll need that second surgery to get the screws in the ankle out. i can feel them when my ankle rubs against the casting, and its rather uncomfortable. that should be a bang bang quick recovery, though... i hope.
  2. i hear ya purple... i fell pretty bad yesterday... luckily ive got screws holding everything in place! i mean they put me on narcotic pain meds and expect me to navigate on crutches... wtf! last night as i was falling asleep, each time as i tdrifted off my foot would twitch and i'd be sent into so major pain... that was a bitch!
  3. ****...i found out that after surgery the doctor told my parents it was a 12 week recovery... damn it...
  4. saw the dr and my xrays today... i broke the opposite ankle in half... that's nicely in place. need two screws to fix that one. the fibula was broken higher up, is all nice and screwed up like WHOA (ill try to get an image)... that needs a plate and screws. theres a ligament near there and i might need a screw through the ligament, tibia, and fibula. then i get a 2nd surgery to get the screws out since i have thin skin around the ankles and would have major discomfort in skates. It's a bum deal... 12 weeks if the ligmanet thing needs a screw... 8 otherwise. then physical therapy, a removal, etc... i really do think im out of beer league play until january. :( bummed big time surgery is on thursday edited to add: dont mean to hijack your thread, or anything.. hope you dont midn if i tag along ;)
  5. I broke my tibia and fibula wed night. breaks go into my ankle joint. i have surgery the middle of this week to get paltes and screws... im looking at a 3 MONTH recovery... ugh
  6. both Eric and Jordan wear NBH gloves, NBH skates, NBH Helmets, NBH pants, and use easton sticks (though eric goes between the synergy and One90 stick)... Eric has his name on the Cup and scored 100 points. I dont know that they're going to specify, they might be going for a twofer and play off the ambiguity. fanboys of eric will think it's eric, fanboys of jordan will think it's jordan. best of both worlds.
  7. is it just me or does that steel look really big? like it looks like a half an inch of steal between the perforated edges and the bottom of the steel i just measured it... its like 7/16" from the bottom of the perf to the edge. it did look big to me too.
  8. what scallop the steel? id imagine so, but why
  9. there are holes on the holder and then the steel is scalloped ... its just the stock e-pro holder and the steel that came on the skates
  10. it was bleh... the black epro's really go with the blue a lot better. i like em quite a bit now.
  11. wahts the whole glove story? Weight wore some tonight... ill try to post a pic later.
