  1. It fills the pocket around your ankle and locks it in pretty good. No problems with durability, skating roughly 2 times a week since I got them in the Spring. I'm really happy with them. Very stiff skate (at least for me...I'm hardly a "power" guy), but almost everyone I play with has said my skating has imporved drastically since I'm skating in these, which probably has more to do with the fact that these actually fit me.
  2. Too bad the quality is shitty...these are blow ups from the pics I got at MSH Skate:
  3. Can't say that I have. I've sat on the coach wearing new skate watching TV...but never slept in it.
  4. A true gear geek...wearing gear around the house. *L*
  5. He's making the most of the opportunities that he is getting for sure. At some point, he'll be a fulltimer...but, he's obviously being patient...and that is a good thing.
  6. Winning at the world juniors has to be more fun than watching from the pressbox. I realize that...but being away from the NHL environment....(coaches, other players, training sched...) can that hurt? Mind you, I'd bet Hockey Canada (and this tourney especially-it's kinda the jewel in HC's crown) is not unlike an NHL environment.
  7. I'm kinda torn here...for how quickly he's risen in the hockey world...is going to play for the Jr's a step backward for David...? Or, just a natural step for an elite player his age that he kinda side stepped in his meteoric rise from unknown MSHer to deserving NHLer On the other hand, with David on Team Canada....we stand a better chance to go 4 straight Golds, and if he's not going to play in StL....I'd love to see him shine on an International stage...I mean...playing in the WJr's did wonders for that Crosby kid :P
  8. How many rookies on the STL roster...3? At least he's not on his own for the dinner.
  9. They'd look good with Anahiems new jerseys.
  10. Update: Stick: RBK 7k Pro-Lite (RK10 Reg Flex). The curve is almost identical to my Sickick (Grabovski of the Hamilton Bulldogs) that I like so much.
  11. A career under achiever who doesn't pass enough? What does that have to do with David?
  12. He was trying to dangle, that wasn't a strength move. A nice shift, for sure, but when going 1 on 3, not really the smartest play. I forget who the other defenseman was on the play but he should have recognized the situation and came across. Honestly, David could very easily have gotten himself knocked into next week with that move. He definitely doesn't look out of place. I wonder how long until Hinote isn't filling his spot in the last 2 minutes of a 1 goal game. Maybe strong on his skates is a better way to describe it. Great balance.
  13. That was game #9...so the decision has to be made before he plays again, right?
  14. David is not THAT big a guy...but Damn...is he strong on the puck. Just saw that drive to the net he put on CBJ late in the game tonight...no goal, but a good move.
  15. I always wonder what those cute little butterflies and angels near the hips/belly will look like after a couple kids though.
  16. Another career first for David. FIRST STAR of the NIGHT on NHL.com http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?page=ThreeStars...mp;service=page
  17. I haven't really looked carefully at what everyone else did tonight...but I think those 2 points move David into Top 10 Rookie scoring.
  18. La Maison du Perron must be jumpin' tonight... David 2G Alex Kovalev 1G 2A
  19. I was checking the sched at work today. Me: "Right on, St. Lou plays tonight" Buddy: So...? Me: "Our boy from ModSquad is playing tonight"
  20. Don't get Vs here...but NHL Network is doing On The Fly...where they show segments of all the games going on that night. Hopefully I can catch some of the 3rd.
  21. I haven't seen highlights yet...does he have his white skates back?
  22. So, this is game #8 for David right....JD's gotta make a decision soon. Looks like David is making that decision for him!
  23. rhino...I don't know if it the different material that liner is made out of...but the sweat in my eyes is crazy with the Vector...(my ONLY complaint about it). That sweat strip is a good idea.
  24. I've found the louder you say that...the less likely it is to be accepted *L* I have a saying I like...I think it applies for sharpeners too: Good Fast Cheap ...pick 2.
