  4. thats the risk with ordering with eagle period, we have multiple customers that have been waiting over 4 months for custom eagles. They work very slow.

  7. Bauer 8090 Background - 5'9 175, wide forefoot, narrow heel, very high arch. Introduction - I would first like to point out to anyone interesting in purchasing 8090's that they are a very unique fitting skate, and are the ultimate skate in disproving online skate purchases. I came from an 8D Vapor XX, and had to drop an entire size to a 7D in the 8090. I wear a 10 shoe and my foot is done growing. For anyone thinking about purchasing these online, I strongly recomend not doing so unless you are absolutely sure of what size you need. Fit - Comming from the Vapor XX, these boots were like a breath of fresh air for my feet. Unlike most of the super-light skates on the market, these are actually comfortable. The skate is built with a wide forefoot and narrow heel, which obviously fits my foot dimension perfectly. However for some even the D width will be too wide, and unfortunately bauer doesn't offer the C width as a stock option. The boot is very stiff, and the liner and tongue is much thicker than the Vapor XX. 10/10 Blade/Holder - Despite recieving mixed reviews, I personally love the lightspeed holder, especially with the much more practical solid steel that comes installed on the 8090. 10/10 Weight - The difference in weight between the 8090 and Vapor XX boots is non existent. The 8090 is up there with the lightest skates on the market. 10/10 Protection - As a result of the super stiff quarters, the 8090 is an extremely protective boot. I hardly felt anything when hit with a puck, stick or any other object. 10/10 Durability - This is where the 8090 really shines, and is a true testiment to bauer in how well crafted this skate is. The Vapor XX had already begun breaking down and looked pretty beat up after 1 month, (6 days a week skating) the 8090 on the other hand still looks mint, with nothing but puck marks on the holder and boot. The skate is still as stiff as it was when i first bought them. Someone has finally figured out how to create a super light skate without sacrificing durability 9/10 Conclusion - Even after a month of skating in them I am still extremely impressed at how nice of a skate this is. I would strongly suggest anyone who has the foot for them, and plays at a high level seriously considers them for their next pair of skates. I've used the XX, v12, 7000, vapor 10, and 705, and the 8090 is head and shoulders above all of them in every aspect. Overall 10/10
  8. 5'9 175 Used with 85 synthesis P106 curve Intro: I purchased this blade on ebay for much less than retail just to try it out. The p106 is a little more curve than I usually use, however its fairly similar to the drury which is my usual curve of choice. Stiffness: This blade is very stiff, feels identical to an inno blade which leads me to believe its probably inno manufactured. 10/10 Weight/Balance: This blade is fairly light, however it felt slightly bottom heavy in the synthesis. I'm someone who can't stand bottom-heavy sticks, so this was one of my few gripes about this blade. In a different shaft, perhaps an XV, the balance would be better 7/10 Stickhandling/Recieving Passes: I've used just about every comp blade/ops on the market, and its safe to say the XV is up there with the best in terms of feel. The insert bauer uses definately dampens hard passes, moreso than the si core blades. The feel is miles better than the synthesis blade, and toe drags and other moves were a breeze. 9/10 Shooting: The stiffness of the XV combined with the whip of the 85 flex shaft proved to be fantastic in regards to shooting. The puck just flies off the blade, great for people who take alot of snap shots. Durability: I've used this blade for about 15 sessions and there are no chips, dents, or scratches. 9/10 Conclusion: This is an excellent tapered offering from bauer and a good alternative to the r2 and synthesis blade. I previously had a drury synthesis blade in this shaft, and the XV provides me with much better puck feel. If the blade was a little bit lighter, it would be the perfect blade. Overall: 8.5/10
