Ok ok I know this in some peoples mind may be weird. Here is my issue, I recently bought a Bauer Mach size 10 fit1 from a place that didn’t have a Bauer fit machine. Felt great in store, first skate way too big. Dropped $1100 useless to me now. Currently selling them. In the past I had Easton mako size 10.5d great fitting skate but worn down too fast but perfect sizing. My Bauer scan at a different store said I’m a 9.5. aside from true tf9/tf7 what size true should I be looking at? 10.5?

I just don't like how they hide the final cost I guess....

Went to pull the trigger on VH's last night. Their pricing is misleading.... $799 - no holders or steel $909 - Tuuk holders plus ls3 steel $20 - delivery plus tax. $1030 or something I was in for $799 but it seems like it holders should be built into the price? ....back to ebay

no, it is in front of my toes making the skate smaller, less room in front of toes.

Has anyone had a problem with mako 2 skates where the tongue is glue to the inside of the toe cap directly infront of the toes. My toes rub it bad. It's very differnet than my mako 1s. Same size skates but mako 2 I rub my toes on that tongue seems like they are smaller in size?

I put these in my Bauer MX3's, bought SR.L (red ones) I feel like I could use a shim, which the box didn't come with. Do you guys make a thicker one? Coming from Mako's love that zero negative space feel...

I wouldn't get stevens ... go combat. padding is thicker

Ya man I don't see problems with outsole. Skated 200 games on them last and about 60 this year. Zero issues other than that achillies area. I found a pair of max domi pro stock. The area of the tendon guard is setup differently on the mako 2s. 249 on hockeysupremacy.com for the mako 1

I have the original makos, the fastest skate I've ever been on and its not close. HOWEVER does anyone have an issue of their Achilles throbbing due to constant pressure? Its absolute murder and now have developed a calcium build up just on the inside part of my Achilles, like a bump and leaves me in tears during/after skating about 10 min. Had my skates now for a year. I referee so I'm on the ice 4 to 10 times a week.

anyone know what the holder size is on a 10.5d on the MAKO 1's? is it 288mm?

Reffed in them first time yesterday. The pitch feels very similar to a graf, but I find the edges are easier to pick. Maybe it was the sharpening and combo with 9ft radius but I'll have to try a 3/4" radius and see if that solves things. Also felt like extra effort was required to skate backwards... again probably because of the profile and radius. I find that the skates become loose after 10 min or so of skating even with lax laces. Maybe I'll try a rebake and see if that solves things. Definitely need the wraps on the ankles though. Can't skate without them.

Second time around using the Mako 1's. First experience was that i had horrible mako bumps from the skates along with a bad profile/sharpen. Not quite sure happened. Fit was amazing though in the rest of the boot. Bad experience with the bumps, so they were sold. Second experience I've read more on these forums and re-bought a pair from hockey supremacy. I rebaked and got that fit perfect. However still mako bumps. I took the extendon off and use a heat gun to heat up that back areas to mushroom them out. I also used a softball and wedged it so the shape would be maintained. However when putting the extendon guard it wanted to pull in the back part from being widened, unfortunately. To combat this I bought 2 gel bunga ankle wraps and now I am golden. No bumps. I didn't change the stock profile and it is a 9ft, and got them sharpened to a 5/8" radius.
