  1. those 1500c's look awesome blacked out like that. nice. i thought the S7's were all leather? they look like nylon in that pic.
  2. i'm partial to the white/green and white/black, also, as i've stated many times on this board, you can't go wrong with black and white. its just plain classy
  3. oh yeah, definitely need the winters on their. Also, i neglected to mention that the Audi is great, unless there's more than 2 inches you gotta go through, otherwise, your front end is snowplowing. That thing has ZERO clearance, i bottom out all the time on these shitty new hampshire roads.
  4. i drive an A4 quattro wagon and its awesome in the snow. my dad drives my car over his BMW X5 if it snows. he said it's better than any car he's ever had.
  5. NBH ONE60 wood stick, 102 flex, P88 curve. Background- prep school player, 5'7'' 180lbs Blade I hate composite blades, i always use woodies in my shafts because i feel composites have ZERO feel. That was a big plus with this stick, the feel was awesome. It didn't last very long, but it felt great while it lasted, the blade was the part that snapped on me though. 7/10 Shaft/Flex- The shaft was a little too stiff for my liking (i usually use an 85) but i noticed i had a very nice slapshot with this. The shaft seemed to have a nice kick to it. It didn't feel like it broke in at all, so if you're a 100 flex guy feel free to try this stick out. 8/10 Stickhandling/Passing As I mentioned before, very nice feel on this stick, passing and stickhandling was great, it was like the puck just wanted to be on the blade. 8/10 Shooting My slapshot was good with this stick, but because it was too stiff for me, my wrister suffered. The puck didn't really seem to jump off the stick as much as previous sticks I've had. 5/10 Weight/Balance The balance was very nice on this stick, it was pretty heavy but when you held it, because of the nice balance, it felt a lot lighter than it was. Actually, when i handed it to some kids on the team, some of them thought it was a price point composite, not a woody, because of the nice balance. 10/10 Durability As with most wood sticks, durability was not great when compared to a composite. however, the shaft held up very nicely, i only had trouble with the blade's durability. For a woody, pretty durable. 7/10 Conclusion This was the first full wood stick i've used in a long time, (i've been using OPS's until they broke then putting wood blades in them) but this was a nice break. As far as wood sticks go, this is probably one of the nicest on the market. very good bang for your buck if you like woodies. Overall 7/10
  6. Easton Synergy 900 skate (10.5 D) Intro- My last pair of skates were the Z-Air Comps (04 model). I loved them, so i decided to stick with easton. I have now used these 900's for a full season playing both midget and prep school hockey. Fit- I have a pretty wide foot, and i usually take an E width, when i tried these on in a D, they fit me perfectly. I have let teammates try my skates out and they hated them, so i guess it's really hit or miss whether these fit you or not. They feel great if they fit your foot right though. 8/10 Blade/Holder- As with all of the eason holders i've had, when i'm walking (from the locker room to the ice for instance) i hear this clicking sound, i think it is the steel moving up and down in the holder, however, when i hit the ice they are awesome. the screws that hold the steel in kept coming loose on me as well, but nothing a little lock tight couldn't fix. 7/10 Weight/Protection- For a mid/high end skate, these seem very light to me. they definitely have more protection than my z-airs, maybe just because they are newer. Doesn't seem like anything special, sort of a run-of-the-mill skate. 7.5/10 Durability- I've used these skates for one full season, as stated above, durring the prep school season i was skating every day at least an hour and a half, and they are holding up VERY well. I know some people have had problems with the composite not holding up on easton skates, but the composite boot is almost perfect aside from a few puck scuffs. Awesome durability from these skates, they are still very stiff, even though they are completely broken in. They are definitely ready to go for next season, i've never had a skate last me more than one year until these. 10/10 Intangibles- One of the best features on these skates, In my opinion, is the vents in the bottom of the skate. Not only do they keep my feet from getting as hot while skating, but they also help tremendously in reducing the smell (my skates are usually unbearable) and also drying them out between skates (very important when skating every day). 9/10 Conclusion- Overall, a very nice skate, great bang for your buck if you're looking for a nice skate without the hefty price tag. I would go with these skates again, or at least stick with the synergy series, I'm looking at the 1200's or 1300C's if i can get a good closeout price or something like that. I highly recomend these skates to anybody. Overall 9/10
  7. depends if you mean the gold/blue scheme or the new one... I am talking the blue/gold scheme. I am thinking of going towards the white/black because my HS team is green/white and the black would go with both teams. you can't go wrong with black/white, (or in this case white/black?), goes with any uni.
  8. haha my team also wears black but i couldn't pass these up...i'll take the chance :] hell, i'll play on the rec team to wear those beauties...
  9. my dad just picked up a 1957 ford thunderbird, cherry red, absolutely beautiful...
  10. almost makes me regret buying my black ones, i doubt my team would let me wear those though, they have a black only rule.
  11. those look awesome for a DIY job.
  12. it does sound like a great way for some of these smaller companies to start getting some recognition and build up some good reviews and reputations. i like it. nice idea guys.
  13. you def. picked a good stick to pop your easton cherry. the 05 stealths are killer.
  14. Do the fuel pants still have the leg length adjustability that was on the L-series pants? have you had a chance to try them yet? any feedback would be greatly appreciated. i havent really had a chance to play around with them yet so i don't know about the leg adjustment, i do seem to recall some sort of adjustment feature mentioned when i bought them... when i first picked them up, they felt super bulky, but i put them on and it was like they werent even there, the feel great, the curtain under the leg zippers is a great feature as well, gives you the mobility without exposing your legs to the ice. overall, i really like the pants, and at only 80 bucks for a top end pant you can't go wrong.
  15. just got some new stuff, nbh pro 4 rolls and mission fuel 110 pants http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0189.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0188.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0186.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0185.jpg also, the updated stick and glove collections... http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0191.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/t...24/DSCN0187.jpg link to the rest of my stuff sorry, didnt realize they'd be so big...
  16. how did it affect the weight, how much heavier is it now as opposed to before the repair work?
  17. i wish my xxx's looked like vae91's, blacked out looks awesome. Do you guys think i could just do that with a magic marker to mine? the red around the x's may be hard to cover up, but i think i could at least black out the white highlights...
  18. howcome there is no fuel 100XP skate but they have a 100AG?
  19. how do you like those synergy shoulder pads hockeydawg, i have a pair and i can't stand them, way too bulky for me, i ended up switching back to my old bauers, waste of 100 bucks unfortunately...

  23. i wish theyd make the 4k in green, im not into shelling out 130 for a helmet, and i dont like those gelly pads in the 8k, but my team makes me wear a green helmet so i have to dish out cash for 8k or intake
  24. what are the gloves that you see the pros using that just say easton on the cuff, not the old air or z-air models, they look like the 800s or the pro stocks that EWH sells only without the ( E ) logo, just the writing on the cuff. is this just a special thing for them or are they something i could get my hands on?
  25. im not saying that they are too much, i understand that companies want to make as much money as they can, who can blame them, i have no problem dishing out the dough because i believe it is worth it, im just curious.
