Rest in peace CCM girdle. You've given me a great 10 year run. I know you didn't fit for the last five and I've been trying to patch you up for the last year but it's time to move on. I'm sorry to see you go but I hope you can appreciate the fact that you were used until you disintegrated to the point where pads fell out while skating. You'll be missed.

Currently in the market for some Chara-like pants. Did you pick those up locally in Boston? Or were they an eBay/online purchase?

So... how long until SJ stuff makes it to the thread...
-
Amen. My tree limb arms are looking forward to trying on someone's Jofas at SJ.
-
I was about to pull the trigger on a pair of 6's so I'm glad you gave me the heads up. I have really long arms (usually a 38 arm length) so it may still work out. Do they run big in length or bigger around the diameter of the arm? Maybe I'll try someone's on at SJ.

Seeing a lot of elbow pads of Reebok 7k and 8k in this thread along with the jofas (not sure model). Seem to be a very popular choice. My jofa 9144L with the plastic elbow caps may have seen their last use after 12 or so years. How are they sized? Do they go on numbers or on s, m, l? Also guessing many are pro return since they have the NHL logo on them.

Not too exciting but finally got a pair of socks that are tall enough for me. My fellow 6'5 friends may be able to share in this. http://instagr.am/p/Ja3wORDGkR/

Since I like how my custom X70s (thanks DS) came out in 2009 I decided to send my old college gloves to get repalmed. Got these 2004 X70s redone to use for possible coaching gigs and to help the longevity of my purple/white ones. Nothing too flashy- MSH2 and mesh gussets. Coming from this: http://imageshack.us...9/eaglepre.jpg/

If by school you mean college, are there any distance education (online) classes you can do?

What's the co-pay on that placebo? Haha

Tests like those done by ETS (SAT, GRE, etc) were taken to court for being discriminatory based on how the were researched and what they predict. For example, the SAT has been sued for discrimination because when it was first tested it was researched on well-off white males only and is only a good predictor for white males first semester in college.

Nice. With the grey lining?

"Those are good burgers, Walter."

Great username and beautiful flames gloves.

JR's not the only one with a funk soul around here. That man was serious. Most certainly will be missed. As a random side note, for anyone interested (though not 100% funk), there's a great documentary out from U Iowa that aired on PBS called Copyright Criminals. Gives the history of sampling and they have some great interviews with George Clinton and others. Just returned it to netflix.

My first piece of advice for your second year of high school is to spell it sophomore.
-
looking forward to our down under friends to post after this game or when they wake up...
-
Also, I forget who it is, but I know someone on here has been collecting skills competition gloves. If it's you, shoot me a PM. I saw something the other day you may be interested in investing in (not selling something of mine, merely pointing someone in the direction of something they may be looking for).

Amen.

I used a pair of those hockey douglas shoulder pads from 8th grade to my first year of college and they were the best pads I've ever used.

EDIT: somehow I missed the second picture when posting this reply.

KCI four times a week = $60 bucks. Definitely don't miss the cost of living since moving out of DC after two years.

I'd pay for the stamp if I could get 2. Let me know.
