Yes, Yellow was merely a color change (and perforation in the insole) from Grey. -
Sharpening CCM Black Steel correctly
JR Boucicaut replied to markush's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
The black oxide finish on the SB Black isn't anything that alters performance in any way. If you want to hone it off, you're not losing anything. -
Blade Movement in Tuuk LS Edge Holders
JR Boucicaut replied to Davetronz's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
There's no need for that reaction. They're stating their PERSONAL anecdotes. Obviously people who work on skates will see it more because they see multiple pairs. I've been seeing varying steel thicknesses lately, as well as mis-stamped steel - one of our members who I sharpen for needed LS2 (not even Edge) and both were stamped 263mm and one was a 272. I don't think I've run across any LS3s that go loose in the holder, but certainly LS2 and LS Fusion. -

CCM has now launched a new helmet to their Fitlite family in the 3DS. It's the first helmet in which they have introduced D3O to, and they've added it to the temple/side area of the helmet. Also, the Microdial system has been revamped. The guts of the helmet is still EPP with memory foam padding. The helmet also features an ABS subshell for additional protection, which will also have color options. It's a slightly different fit from previous Fitlite helmets; it has a deeper fit.

We will be posting Warrior in stages this year to protect their launch dates. We will start out with protective. Gloves - Touted as the lightest, most mobile and protective glove in hockey, we start with the Covert QRL. It continues the Covert story with a tapered fit, SmartPalm+ and Phantom protection, however, introduces two new features. First is the AxyFlex thumb, which is a three-piece thumb (the middle part does not flex.) The biggest feature, however, is the Axyflex cuff, which while not new to the market, is definitely different than all previous iterations. The cuff is suspended from the glove and held by a neoprene cuff and backed by mesh. It is stretchy and allows the cuff to move independently from the rest of the glove. It is completely enclosed, so there's protection on the back as well as the front. Full nylon outer on the QRL. The QRL Pro version still features all of the features that the QRL has, however, has regular SmartPalm and isn't full nylon. QRL3 doesn't have the AxyFlex cuff but still features SmartPalm and Phantom protection. Dynasty glove is unchanged. Protective - Dynasty is unchanged. The Covert QRL pant is new for 2016. It is still forward-canted, but not as much as previous models. It features their IST gusset that keeps the pant moving with the player, and has an floating internal pant belt system. 420 denier nylon outer and segmented back leg protection. The kidney and spine pads have been redesigned as well, offering very good protection.

Looks like you'll be in Altamonte/Maitland then. My parents still live in Casselberry.

I use ruby and sharpen them in the store (on a Stealth, not an X02). It's a nice steel to sharpen. You'd probably need less passes than usual though; you should feel the difference when you cut it. -

Orders are brought over by a freight forwarder on Fridays and they in turn process the UPS labels out of Detroit. It's done to save on shipping costs as they would be considered domestic packages. There are times in which I've needed emergency supplies (riveter horns/machine heads) and have to get them out of Canada because I need them right away. At that point it's an international shipment. -
