  3. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php?/files/file/161-2013-reebok-catalogue/ Skates - Unchanged but there is a SE version of the 20k. I was initially under the impression it would have the SpeedBlade holder, but then a few people on here who had met with their sales reps had told them it was just a white version. Sticks - unchanged Helmets - unchanged Gloves - Unchanged, however, the 9000 4-Roll is no longer in the line. Pants - not much different from the previous line spare stripes on the 18k and 16k, and different wordmark placement. Protective - This is the big change for Reebok in 2013; starting with shoulder pads, the 20k line is completely free of plastic inserts. The pad is made completely out of foam, which makes it an extremely light pad. The caps have been redesigned (or resurrected from the Jofa pile, if you remember the 8800) in the sense that they are bigger and provide more frontal coverage. However, they are a lower profile, and feature a dual-core foam package. The caps extend down the line to the 16k, but the 20k is the only pad that is all foam. The all-foam concept extends to the elbow pad as well; no plastic in them as well. Different design as well - the cap is integrated in the pad in the sense that it isn't sewn on like traditional elbow pads are. The 20k shinguards are also a tweaked design, notably the joint between the two caps, and also, a new feature on the bottom of the pad to accommodate those who put their tongue behind their pads. KFS Hybrid carries over from 2012.
  4. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php?/files/file/162-2013-ccm-catalogue/ Skates - big story for CCM is the RBZ skate line. This is a brand new skate from the ground up - starting with the quarter package, which is composite, however, for baking purposes, it is at a lower melting point. The skate is made using a double-lasting process as well, and features contoured ankles. The liner is Clarino, and are using high-density Poron in the ankle pads. Compared to the CL, it is 25% stiffer. Tongue is an injected foam/felt combination with additional lace bite protection. The arch has also been changed for 2013, and has a new footbed concept, as well as a new measuring gauge. The Footdisc gauge will determine arch and sizing in seconds, as it will use the heat from your feet to imprint an image. There are 3 insoles; high, medium and low, and it will be easy to determine which one would work for you. Based on their findings, 60% of skaters have a medium arch. Also, brand new holder - the SpeedBlade 4.0 is 4mm taller in both towers, allowing for a greater attack angle for turning purposes. Also, the balance has been pushed back towards the middle. The ribs in the holder provide greater stiffness, and the HyperGlide runner is a newly-sourced runner with a polished finish for better edge retention, and harder than most competitors' steel. Also to note, the rivet pattern has been changed to match industry standard, and will be sold separately. E-Pro will still be in the lineup, however. The RBZ comes in at $749. The RBZ 100 is similar, but notable differences are in the midsole, (Surlyn instead of composite) outsole, insoles and the runner. That skate will be $549. Sticks - no changes, but there will be new CCM sticks later in 2013. Gloves - the CL 500 is the new glove, and it's completely redesigned. Still featuring a tapered fit, it has narrower fingers and a wider cuff. The 3-piece thumb is extremely mobile as well. Guts of the thumb is U-Foam, as well as U-Foam on the top of the cuff, however, the backhand is snug. And continuing with the Crazy Light story, the glove clocks in at 300g. Nash palm with stretch mesh gussets. 4R Pro glove stays in the lineup. Protective - unchanged

  9. No, it has to do with the molding process. When it cools after, it shrinks (which is expected) but the channel got warped. As Chadd said, they have rectified the issue.
  10. In terms of? It'd compare better with TotalONE as they are more similar, especially with the tendon guard.
  11. You'll never catch Easton commenting on it because home baking voids skate warranty. MLX didn't have authorized dealers, so they had no choice but to show people how to bake them at home. So once again, it is suggested you take them into a store to get them baked. And if you didn't buy the skates from them, keep a receipt of the baking for reference.
  12. I saw he signed up. Maybe he'll clear up the confusion.
  13. In a lot of cases, it's the EQM...not the player. More common holders means less things to carry on a trip. It's a convenience factor for those guys, especially on a new holder. They're going to trust what they know.
  14. The ones I tried in Vegas were same as my Supreme size. Chadd is one size down from me so that would make sense.
  15. You may want to try 95/75 next...might be the bite you are looking for. I assume the nick happened after hitting something...
  16. Chadd will be reviewing them for MSH. He should be getting them in the next few days.

  19. It's a stick spec made for those leagues as those players don't have the options a pro does - they get to pick pattern, flex and grip type; they're bought in bulk by the team, and since budgets aren't deep, it's made to be more robust than standard retail models. Bauer does the same thing for NCAA as well; their SE version.
  20. Thanks for the clarification. I mistook for intermediate.
  21. Do understand that writing reviews gets you considered for Long-Term Reviews, which is when we provide product for you to review. In almost all circumstances, we will not consider your application for a LTR if you haven't submitted a regular review.
  22. Yeah, actually, you are right. On second look, the 70 has a TPR outsole and the lower-grade steel.
  23. Yeah, how it's been done for years, using a measuring device like a Brannock or stick. The only reason why you had to trace your foot for MLX is because they didn't have such a device, because it wasn't sold in stores.
